RealTruck Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Toolbox Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | 84486 | Fits 2017 - 2025 Ford F-250/350 Super Duty 6' 10" Bed (81.9")

This is my second extang that I buy for two different trucks of mine. These covers are awesome especially if you have a toolbox.Ok here is where you need to pay attention, make sure that if you buy this you toolbox has the handles to open it or the button on the BEDSIDE of the box. This is not meant for toolboxes that have the latches on the inside of the truck bed. If you take a look at my pictures you will see exactly why.Since I knew I could work around it I decided to order it anyways. What I did was cut the some notches where the handles of the toolbox are so that the gasket brace fit flush against the toolbox and could keep water out. I then made sure to smooth out the cuts to avoid injuries and then just put some black tape to further protect from cuts. To make it easier to open it, I ran a tether rope/cable from the handle of the toolbox along the top inside of the bed ending at the tailgate, I ran it through some S hooks, almost completely closed so they wouldn't fall off, that I hung on the bed side holes. Whenever I need to open the toolbox I just open my tailgate, pull on the cord and the toolbox opens up. When I'm done working I simply lock it up for extra security.

1. I have a 20" Gullwing toolbox (so its within specs).2. I have the cover installed as instructed3. in order to tighten down the front of the cover i had to pull it forward to avoid the uprights in the bed4. this leaves a 1/2" gap in the back....???? Didnt anyone at Extang check this???5. Finally, the cover was packed so loosely it put a hole in the cover at all the joints while it was folded.

I was hesitant when I ordered this trifold cover for my truck. I had a box in the back all ready to carry tools. And I really wanted a hard cover so I could store other things in my bed securely. This shocked me to say the least. It was an absolute breeze to install myself. It fit perfectly with the box I all ready had in the back of my truck. I’ve had it on my truck for a few months now and I love it. I’d highly recommend this product to anyone!

i bought this product and i took several pictures on how this tonneau cover came in. the box was totally destroy, this item have huge hole on it andi really want it to talk to someone but the communication is very limited now i have to find other option and some recommendations on other tonneau covers.

The 84486 does not fit the 2017 Superduty. The rail that mounts next to toolbox does not fit. The screw holes are too wide for the bed.

Bought for my son's birthday and he loves it. My grandson was putting it together too, so easy.
