Richard Schmid Paints the Landscape Collection - White Pine, May, June, & November - 4 DVD SET

This is really interesting to see the process of this Paint Master that Richard Schmid is. I have always admired his masterpieces. However admiring the final result of a painting is something but to live with him every steps of his process, his struggle with elements, composition and techniques are just priceless. We can feel the joy he is feeling to paint outside and to share his advices. This man is skillful and accurate in his choices of colors, shades and strokes and is definitely a reference in the middle. A must have in your studio.

This instructional painting series has been very helpful to me. Schmid explains his process as he goes along, including plein air site selection, specific brushes for certain techniques, color choice, and paint application. I've watched the demonstrations multiple times and have taken copious notes. Although a workshop with Richard Schmid would be a wonderful experience, each time I watch one of the DVDs I learn something new because of the instant replay factor. In this respect it is better than taking a workshop. This series will teach you what you want to know about R.Schmid's painting techniques.

These Richard Schmidt DVD's are worth more than their price. To see him paint from preparing the canvas to the highlight/tweak phase is awesome. These DVD's will not equip the student to paint like Richard Schmidt, but they do show his method which is instructive for all painters at all levels.

Richard Schmid gives us an entertaining (watch how he prepares for the cold) and very informative insight to his painting technique. I believe I learned a lot and enjoyed watching how he constructs his paintings, and how he uses his materials to create his images. I would recommend this to beginning to intermediate painters.

Richard Schmid is not only an excellent artist, he is an inspiring teacher. What an awesome collection. I would recommend these DVD's to any painter or to anyone else who enjoys art. Richard Schmid is a living master!

Only one worked in my DVD player but some of the other ones worked in my computer, thank goodness it's one that takes DVD's and the Captain's Portrait did not work at all. I am still great full for them and thank you.
