Solid made, difficult install
Well made product. A bit challenging to align the two parts on the door. If not perfectly aligned, the latch will not work. It should include a paper/ plastic template to aid with installation.

perfect for sliding screen door
You have to VERY careful when you mount it so that both parts line up correctly. Best to have two people, one to hold the parts in a dry fit position, and one to make the marks for the holes. Installed properly, it works fine to secure a sliding screen door. The screws are tiny, if any force at all will be applied to the door, you will need longer, larger diameter screws. And you may need to drill out the screw holes to accept them. It works great in my application with the stock screws.

Works as expected
It was easy to install and works as desired. I have installed it on a sliding pocket door; the only issue is, you can't slide the door completely into the pocket. I recommend install a small metal plate on the pocket frame so that the latch will not dent/damage the wood of the frame.

Great lock for the backdoor
Used on my backyard door since it opens outwards. Had to drill into the wood to get it snug. A little hard to match up the connecting piece so I'd recommend to dot where you're gonna drill with the connecting piece still on. Does the job and is very good quality.

A good solid latch that's surprisingly well made and strong. It's a bit fiddly to install and use, so keep that in mind when making a purchasing decision. But if you need something that absolutely positively says "stay out" then this is the item.
