It's pretty cool. Just buy it.
It has a good weight to it. Not too light to think it's cheap, but not too heavy to not want to carry it around or play with it. A couple minor blemishes in the foam, but nothing too noticeable. Gives it a slight battle worn look. The handle has a textured leather look. Instantly I thought of wrapping it in leather cord that can be picked up at any craft store. It's not overly thick like a cheap toy stor foam sword is. The blade has a nice shine to it, so no need to spray paint it for a more realistic look for a prop. Though I still may need to if I decide to take a razor to it to clean up the seams a little.

It is Worth it, and they are great props. As well as toys
I love Sparkfoam, they sort of hold up. But they also do hurt even though they look like they do. Also it is not bad for $22 but again they dont have the best durabilty they chip and ding up. I havent had one break yet and I own 3 all for at least 2 months of intentse use

Great sword for costume work - would be good to protect the point a bit better during shipping
This is exactly what I was looking for. A quality sword for a costume that wasn't real. But the tip was slightly damaged (squished) during shipment -- not too terrible, but noticeable up close.

Great for costume events!
Would work as a costume accessory perfectly well! Doesn't feel too sturdy. Probably not useable for LARP events. Looks great dimensions were as stated.

Good, but Minor Damages
I'm not usually a fan of foam swords since they have a tendency to bend and get damaged fairly easily. But, being a cosplayer I also have to deal with those things if I want a prop so I can take them to cons, and I needed a sword. So I was very excited when I found this and found out that they have a sturdy interior to help them stay stable. I had bought the 40 inch Round Pummel Sword. The packaging I believe is not the best choice for the sword. Mine came in a wrapped in a thin layer of bubble wrap and a large black shipping bag. While the majority of the sword is fine, there were a few spots that were damaged. The very tip was bent, as well as some dents in the center of the blade on one side, which I firmly believed were damages from shipment due to it being sent in a bag. And the pommel was not attached well and came right off when I noticed it was wobbly. The pommel has an easy fix with some glue and reattaching it by inserting it back in place. The damages for me were not enough to send back or have a replacement since I am painting over and marking it a few places for the cosplay I bought it for. On the brighter side, it is in very good shape with the shipping damages in mind, the blade is straight, and is very lightweight. I would say if you want a cheap lightweight sword that you want may or may not want to edit for any costume, this would be a good option to consider.
