Great soundbar, steep price
I love this soundbar! It sounds great on eARC. The surround works very well when it’s set up through the app. I’m using this in a roughly 400 square foot room with cathedral ceilings. Bluetooth also works well, but it’s only in 2.1. If you’re looking for a good 5.1 alternative that is compact, this is a great option. Setup is easy. The subwoofer is powerful and the overall sound quality is fantastic. It’s pricey, but worth it.

Excellent sound quality, highly recommend
This soundbar with subwoofer has exceeded my expectations. It is connected to my new 75" Bravia 7 tv. It replaced an Onkyo 5.1 surround sound system. When playing shows on Prime such as Spider-Noir, they are "calibrated" with the Bravia 7 and car crashes and gun fire come to life(loud with excellent detail). Antenna tv sounds much better with the soundbar compared to the built in speakers. I played some trailers of movies on Sony Pictures Core and the sound is awesome. Very happy with this setup.

Positves and Negatives
Watching TV is where this soundbar really shines. Voices are clear and understandable, probably due to the center channel speaker. That feature also makes music playback heavy in the vocals and midrange which sounds somewhat unbalanced. The music playback also lacks presence but I have to remember this is just a soundbar. I've had mid price point Samsung soundbars and wasn't happy with the Bass, this Bass is good and at higher volumes can get loud. If you like a lot of Bass you won't be disappointed. The setup with my Sony TV was easy and the app works well. I do have a problem playing MP3 files on my Windows 11 laptop although my Windows 10 laptop plays those files fine. I called support and they recommended I wait for an update as this is a new product, not really a good response. If you want really good sound it appears you would have to spend $1000 or more. For the money, I think this one is on par or slightly above others in this price range. Update - I have moved the sub next to the soundbar from the side of the room. This has improved the sound quality, a little less bass but improved the midrange balance. Forgot to mention, this integrates very well with my Sony TV and setup was easy. I would buy it again.

You gotta have one
Syncing with a Sony brand tv is effortless!! Plug it in, and with a current Sony TV, instant sound---and quality pure sound. It was pricey, but worth the money

Works well with my Sony TV
I bought this sound bar because I have a Sony TV. I haven’t compared it to any others, but I am happy with it.

A step up from the television speakers, but not impressed given the price.
I picked this up on sale and I'm glad I didn't pay full price, because I'm not terribly impressed by it. I have it hooked up to my Sony television in our master bedroom, and it's definitely a more rich and immersive sound than what the built-in television speakers could provide, but it's hardly a difference worth the price. I have an old single-bar Yamaha sound bar from about 12 years ago that gives me better sound than this, and was only $150 at the time. Mostly I wanted something that would make the dialogue from movies stand out more (a very common issue these days it seems), but while it has a dialogue 'mode' you can set it for, speech will still sound dull and muddled at time, blending into the background or being difficult to understand unless you crank the sound way up. This brings up another beef I have; there is no display anywhere as to what the volume level actually is. I'm used to have a number display on the television that you can use as an indicator as to how loud or quiet you like the sound to be, say "24" as a happy medium or something, but with this soundbar you can only turn it up or down until it's the volume you wish. I realize it sounds odd that this is even an issue, but I really like having a number value I can see in order to fine-tune the volume. In theory this has upward-firing speakers for a virtual Atmos experience, but frankly if I didn't read about it in the literature I'm not sure I would know it was even there. We have an optimum setup for speakers to fire up at an angle, off the flat ceiling, and back down to us in our bed but again the 'effect' just doesn't register with us.

Sound is powerful but not overwhelming. I would recommend it to Sony TV owners.
This is a great soundbar system for smaller rooms, if you use a Sony TV it is very easy to integrate with your TV and or sound system. Sound is powerful but not overwhelming. I would recommend it to Sony TV owners.
