Not so sure about the validity of what is presented in this book...
My doctor recommended this book as a tool for reducing stress, and I have started to read it recently. While it seems like sound information, a couple of things are red flags for me. First, there is no information about the author Noah Mercer anywhere online or in the book itself, including information about his training and expertise; there are also no citations or references that back up claims made in the book, and as a healthcare provider myself, that is concerning for a book that is presented as "science backed." Second, toward the back of the book in the protocols, there are recommendations of sound therapy practices to support the nervous system. As a professional myself working with sound and music for nervous system regulation, I was dismayed to see the author reference "432 hz" ideology, which is a new-age belief about sound frequencies and their "healing power" based entirely in pseudoscience and conspiracy theories. Yikes. I will continue reading it with a healthy degree of skepticism, and will also discuss these concerns with my doctor. There is so much nonsense out there when it comes to holistic health and wellness, and it is very concerning that this book has been presented as "science" when it is missing some of the most crucial information that must be present with scientifically backed work, including valid data well cited and professional credentials to demonstrate professional knowledge and training.
