Are there two dampeners in a pack?

I believe there is only one per pack. It does keep both the game and set scores in the one device, and acts as a vibration dampener at the same time. The price has gone up a couple of bucks since I purchased it in 2021.

Does this work like a real shock absorber?

I use it more to keep my score.I guess it serves as a shock absorber, but it helps me keep my focus in the game
