Helpful. Due Diligence is always best.
This was a good book. Helpful in recognizing the logic and benefits of planning for the next generation, being your own banker, and utilizing the cash value benefits of a life insurance policy after years of paying premiums. There is a lot of generalization, and it ends with a sales-style pitch that redirects readers to purchase insurance from the author's firm. So it's not unbiased information. It is a great marketing tool and lead-generation magnet for the author, so that's a smart strategy. I've been burned by insurance tactics, and I have an Insurance license! I always advise proceeding with caution, finding a fiduciary, if possible, to work with, and always asking for an enforced illustration for the life of the policy. Get the fine print and projected numbers, study them, and run them through a policy evaluator.

A book that offers information that was normally passed down from elders to their offspring
5/5 rating I didn't realize this, but I already have another Garrett Gunderson book "Killing sacred Cows" and I'm subscribed to his Youtube channel. I love the easy to explain breakdowns of whole life insurance and what people called Infinite banking. On his Youtube channel he talks about finance, credit, and special concepts such as Dynamic Banking. This book emphasize the importance of a properly written Whole Life insurance policy, It talks about funding it, and using it forthe life benefits and not just the death benefits. Most people will purchase life insurance just so they can have a peace of mind their family is taken care of. However there is another aspect of Life Insurance. With it, you can eliminate the use of a bank, eliminate credit applications and applying for loans. You can borrow from your policy and pay it back to fund your lifestyle or the big purchases of your life. It's amazing how this concept is taught in other places but in America it's treated like some super secret that only the rich should know.

Whole life insurance explanation
I'd never heard anything other than stay away from whole life insurance but this break down has me revisiting what I've been told. It was a good read. Here are my takeaways: - Rather than leaving wealth to the next generation, you can leave them opportunity. You can make it so your family doesn’t have to start over every generation at zero, and instead is able to leverage your legacy to get a foot up in the world. - If you utilize Cash Flow Insurance, and get everything properly set up, you’ll be able to pay for your kids’ college, pay off debt, finance your home or car, start a business, have an emergency fund—and earn interest the whole time. - Cash Flow Insurance has three key points: 1. It safeguards your wealth. 2. It helps you grow your money and increase your cash flow. 3. It helps you enjoy your money today and tomorrow. - Overfunding is done through something called paid-up additions. (There are limits to what can over fund so ask before set it up.) - Interview people regularly; do interviews to stay sharp and inventive and invite the best to speak at events and stay at your house to further the conversation and build more wealth. Best Questions to get to know someone: - What is the single greatest lesson you have learned in your life? - If you could have a conversation with yourself ten years ago, knowing what you know now, what would you say? - What are the most important things in your life and business? - What are the things that work in your life and why? - What do you read and whom have you studied? - Who have been your mentors? - What are your daily rituals that lead to success?
