Maytag Replacement Refrigerator/Freezer Ice Maker W10190981

I am happy as it was very easy to install and my ice maker is now working again. The only small issue was the metal arm it comes with did not fit my fridge just as other reviews had said. I was able to easily swap the parts and everything worked perfectly. It started making ice within an hour even though it said it could take up to 24 hours. I also verified with Maytags website this was the correct replacement part for my model before ordering.

My ice maker is working again! This was so easy to replace. If you think it's not working after you first install, make sure you wait a while for the system to cool enough to make ice. It took about 10 hours for ours but can take up to 24 hours according to the instructions. So happy i didn't throw out the entire ice maker. The metal shutoff arm provided was too large for our ice compartment so we used our old arm and it worked perfectly.

The metal shutoff arm provide wasn't quite a match for my old one and remounting took a bit of figuring out but otherwise fixed my problem.

I was hesitant to order this replacement icemaker because it was not an original factory replacement part. I am very glad I did buy it because it works better than the original one and is a lot quieter.

I watched a video on you tube on how to install the ice maker and for the most part it was pretty smooth. I now have ice every time I want it.Update: Less than 6 months later it has quit working. It worked good until now.
