I was alittle nervous after I'd bought this reading some of the less kind reviews. I was bummed that it was delayed in shipping because I bought it for a funeral. Which it did not come in time for- but the lady is dead so I don't think she cared what I wore. Onto this dress. It is NOT costume material. The dress I received is a very nice heavy material with a lining and a zipper that comes up the back to the neck. It fits beautifully has a little bit of stretch and give as well as really nice sized pockets. I decided to keep the dress, even though it didn't come in time for the funeral because it is absolutely stunning on --beautifully made very well crafted and is the first black dress I've actually ever owned. It's one of those kind of dresses that you can seriously dress up and have it become very formal or wear it semi casually to some kind of afternoon event. A new staple in my ever-growing closet. I ordered a large. I am 5 foot five and weigh 145 pounds and it fits beautifully. *****update******* I bought a second dress in Navy. It is a totally different material from the fabulous black dress I previously purchased. Feels like rough and cheap polyester and is not lined like the black dress. Still fits beautifully but super happy I used an Amazon credit and I only paid 13$ for the navy- because it isn't nearly as nice as the black

I absolutely love this dress! The fit is very flattering, and the fit-and-flare style gives it a classic, elegant look. The 3/4 sleeves make it perfect for work, church, or any semi-formal event, and the black color is timeless. The fabric is comfortable, and I especially love that it has pockets—they're actually useful without adding bulk. It can easily be dressed up with heels and jewelry or worn more casually with flats.

This dress was comfortable and perfect for what I needed. Had the right amount of stretch and as a plus head pockets. Very flattering.Can always be dressed up or down with accessories. No notes, five out of five stars. Would highly recommend it.

Fits beautifully! I purchased in brown. Now I want another one in a different color! Fabric is forgiving, looks dressy for special events. The neckline is classy. Worthy of the price.

Overall, the quality is good. The fabric is super soft and stretchy (reminds me a bit of swimswuit material). I appreciate that it is lightweight, but not too thin. I wouldn't need to wear anything underneath and I won't be too cold. However, the pockets stuck out a little, making my hips look wider than usual. Also the back zipper was tricky for me. I have a shoulder injury and had a tough time zipping this up. Maybe it would get looser over time, but I need to wear this soon. Also, when I was able to finally zip it up all the way, there were two creases in the top half of the zipper that made it look like I had something sticking out on my back (LOL). I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately, will be returning :(.
