Get this one
There are similar cheaper ones but this is really worth paying a bit more. The lids are nicer and glass looks better than the cheaper ones I bought. I think the lid closes tighter than the cheaper ones. I regret buying the cheaper ones...

Good Quality, Well Designed and functioning and very presentable in a simplistic way.. find a good price point.
Anchor Hocking Montana Glass Jars with Airtight Lids Canister Set, Brushed Metal, 3-Piece SetI never much spent time organizing my dry goods. In fact, i never much bought dry goods except for cereal and things that would survive a nuclear holocaust. This caught up with me and now i am filling my cupboards and cabinets with better stuff like rice, nuts, figs, etc. This created a problem which I hoped that Anchor Glass Jars would help with. I was quickly tired of reaching up and down for goods to pull from cabinets and then resealing the packages. Then i started to cover my counters with these goods which quickly made a clutter and sometimes resulted in spillage. These jars are just what i wanted. So far they don't appear to be too fragile and seem to be of a fine quality glass. I personally liked the large sizes and variety pack as i like to buy some things in bulk and want to keep them filled and other things prove a little goes a long way. When you put the lids on you can feel the air lock for freshness which caught me off guard. The simple design proved to be highly functional as well. Well done Mr Anchor Engineer! These did appear to be a bit pricier than many of the other jar options but I took a gamble that it would translate to quality and larger size options. I have not been disappointed thus far.Definitely, research and find a good price point before buying this type of item but I find these an excellent option for pantry or counter storage. The would do a good job storing quick access stuff for kids or at the office like cookies or candy as well as more serious cooking goods like coffee, beans, rice, etc.I hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine.

Great starter set!!
These are fantastic. Just what I've been looking for. This 3 piece set is the way to go. Especially if your trying to figure out what size you need. I know how hard it can be shopping for sizes. Ingredients are sold by weight and these items are listed by volume. Weight is also inaccurate cause different ingredients may weigh the same but have different volumes. Even if they are too small you can always utilize them for something useful and then get bigger sizes. We try to purchase bulk size items to save $. We wanted glass containers to store them in - that would eliminate the worry of plastic / BPA. Maintain a great seal for freshness. And still look great. It's really hard to find a large size container. The largest sized containers only hold up to 5lbs if that. We plan on putting everything in glass jars. I wanted them all the same color, but this deal was too good. They still look good even though they are different . You can refer to the images and see the sizes. I put standard cans next to them for a visual comparison. FIRST PIC: The outer black jar and silver jar are the 64oz size. Smaller one is the 48oz and the larger is the 96oz. SECOND PIC: The 2.5 gallon size. We put a 30 lb of rice in that, put the rest in the small 48oz sized one and had a little bit to spare. Next to it is the 1.5 gallon. We can almost fit an entire 10 lb of sugar, with just a little left over that we put in a small mason jar. We also use this size for our 10lb bag of flour. We can put about 9lbs in. The 96oz is brown sugar. I can't remember the size of the bag(it was the warehouse sized one) but we squeezed in as much as we could. We then rolled up the left over, taped closed and placed it in a storage container in the closet. Having a glass jar is also a great when going shopping. You can easily see what you need to replenish by glancing at the shelf. The opening is also large enough to fit a 1 cup scoop without any awkward turns / angles and prevents items from spilling.

Perfect to store my Tide pods!
This sucker is HUGE! It's perfect!First, it came in an extremely thick box with inserts that don't allow the jar to move inside the box. That box was then put into another box just slightly bigger - enough for it to close and some additional stuffing so that the smaller box couldn't move the 2 inches of room it had inside that box. It was very well taped too. So my item came fully intact and not broken.Okay... now about the product. I got the 1.5 gallon jar to put my Tide pods inside. I'm in the process of remodeling my laundry room and just like everyone else and their momma I have a farmhouse theme going on (I'm like 10 years late to the game, I know).I managed to fit 96 pods from one Tide container and about 25-30 (I didn't count) from another almost empty Tide container. Minus one that bounced out and behind my dryer (bummer, but it was a cool bounce!). They JUST fit so that should give you an idea of how many Tide pods this 1.5 gallon sucker can hold. The jar is VERY heavy so make sure whatever you're putting the jar on is sturdy. I'm worried about my current sitch, but it will hopefully make it another week until we get the new shelves up. But I digress...The lid fit on snuggly and you can feel a seal. It doesn't just lie on the jar loosely. Even with 120 pods in it. The glass did have a couple bubbles in it... maybe like 5, but that doesn't bother me. Seems like thick glass and well made. It is perfect for what I need it for.I highly recommend for pods. Now, if you buy smaller amounts of pods (40, 72, etc.) the 1.5 gallon will be too large and I'd size down accordingly. I'd say the 72 pods would fit comfortably in the 1 gallon, but that's just a guess based on 120 pods in the 1.5 gallon.Go for it!P.S. - don't judge my dirty shelf

Nice looking, sturdy jar - purchased in three sizes and like them all
Purchased these in various sizes for my kitchen counter and really like them. What it holds: The 1.5 gallon jar holds a full 10 lb bag of white rice (verified); I would imagine it could hold two 5 lb bags of flour, a Costco size box of Oxyclean, or a small box of detergent. The 64 oz. jar holds a box of commercial cookies (e.g., a family size of Oreos), 16-20 granola bars, or 15 -25 coffee pods; it looks a few cups too small for a 5 lb bag of flour although I didn't try it. The 48 oz. is more decorative - good for a container of coffee or tea, a jar of nuts, or displaying wrapped chocolates or packets of something, but not sizeable enough for flour/sugar/rice type storage. Technical dimensions are in other reviews; another good place to estimate is the OXO web site, which has a storage size estimator for commonly used items.Pros: nice looking, glass is sturdy, lid is essentially airtight (good enough for food that is frequently used, would not use this for a situation needing a watertight or long term storage seal), overall an attractive jar and they look lovely on the counter.Cons: slightly odd lid design (see below). People complain that the lid comes in pieces or is broken. I *think* the lid is actually designed to be disassembled to wash it. When you wash the assembled lid, water gets in between the plastic/silicone sealing section and the metal section. You really need to take the lid apart to prevent this happening. It is an odd design but it can be easily taken apart and reassembled so I actually prefer it.

Perfect size, but with flaws
This is the perfect size for a 6lb bag of cat food. It fills right to the top, and even had room for a scoop. We keep it on the kitchen counter, and it looks much better than a bag on the top of the fridge. The lid has an expensive look and feel to it, though it is scratchy to the touch, which I didn't expect. If you really care about the look of the glass itself, however, it's disappointing. You can see a dark, shaky line where they welded the bottom on, and the glass is full of very tiny air bubbles that have a texture to them. I'm also not convinced it's fully airtight. There is a silicone seal inside the lid, but it feels a little too easy to get the lid off. If you're using it for stuff you go through more quickly it's probably fine.

I use it to store my powder laundry detergent. It’s big and works perfectly.

Perfect
I JUST got this so I haven't filled it yet. Go it for my black and white kitchen to put black and white oreo cookies in staggered on top of each other. It is going to fit a LOT of cookies and YES the bottom inside of the container is FLAT! That was so hard to find. Now the top says air tight and that is yet to be seen. It does have a rubber gasket but it also has hard plastic rubbing against the glass sound each time the top goes on and off. If I knew how to take a picture of the inside of the top I would. The black top is not a soft feel to it, it has a kind of rough feel to it. I think it is very pretty. If I find it is not completely air tight I will just cover the top of the canister with press and seal before putting the top on and cut away any press and seal that shows and it will be totally air tight. We will see if that needs to be done. I hope this helped someone. I tried to answer all the questions I had about this before I got it, and nobody seemed to be answering on here.

airtight jar
good buy, great price

Grande y buena calidad

Perfect extra large sized jars
Excellent jars! perfect size. it's hard to find extra large ones that are truly big enough and these were great. I ordered 2 and used them to store my dogs' food on the counter rather than having huge bags lying around and this holds enough to feed my large dog 3.5 cups a day for over a week and my small dog's food for a month. When they first arrived, one was broken and it was quickly and easily exchanged. Lids fit snugly. The only thing I don't like it the texture of the lids, which it was smooth but it's a matte very slightly rough metal but that's just my personal preference! DEFINITELY would buy again
