Robinair RG6000 Recovery Machine, 115V AC, 60Hz

This is not a product I would recommended for others. First it was very noisy. Second it would not do the job properly. Even I follow manual instructions like using new hoses and remove all the inset inside the hoses. After a few minutes of recovery, the pressure reading on the high side of the machine will go up quickly and I have to shut down the machine in order not to damage it. It is just not something the machine will do the job by itself without have to stand there to monitor it. I had to return to Amazon for refund so I can keep looking for a better machine.

I have 3 older RG5000s. No recovery unit will work without monitoring. No recovery machine without a sub cooler will pull refrigerant off in hot weather alone. I often have to cool the drum with water or ice but mine work fine in cool weather as they are!

They do what they are supposed to do!

The unit is not well built. After only two hours of use the male recessed power connector on the front of the machine fell out. One of the electrical connections to the plug had also become disconnected. This happened with no stress or pulling on the cable. Now every time we use the unit we can't disconnect the power cord from the machine without the male connector falling out. The unit has a UL stamp on it which means UL approved it. The design is definitely not very safe and could ruin the unit if it is running and becomes partially disconnected (brown out). Where is the recall on this product. Shame on Robinair for letting this unsafe and defective product get into the market, and UL for not stopping shipments until the problem is resolved. We will not be using any more Robinair products and we will be calling UL here in the US.

It has worked flawlessly for recovery and evacuation of AC units for over a year now. Did at least 16 recoveries this year and running strong Light enough to carry around without a space hogging cart.
