Fully Stocked with everything you could need
I've recently take up hiking & camping. It's something that I find I enjoy but since I'm a bit of a clutz, I'm constantly getting hurt. Nothing major but I always seem to need a band-aid or scissors or disinfectant. Since I want to continue to be active and will probably continue to always manage to injure myself. I figured it was time to invest in a real first aid kit. I chose this one because it seemed to be well stocked (I'm amazed at how many items they stuffed in there) and the case looked pretty sturdy. We went for a day hike over the weekend (I'm in Southern AZ so it's still pretty warm) and I slipped and fell (to be fair it was a little rainy and slick) and scraped my knee. I was able to pull out some alcohol to clean the wound and a band-aid to cover it - nice! I pulled out my emergency whistle and had fun annoying my husband by blowing it when he got too far ahead of me. He said I should only use in emergencies, which is probably true but it was fun. Later he brushed too close to a cactus and got a cactus needle stuck in his leg. Although he had made fun of me for bringing such a comprehensive first aid kit on a hike, I still let him borrow my tweezers to pull out the needle. I think this was a great purchase and am thinking about getting a second one to keep in my car since this one will just stay in my backpack.
