Health update
The whoop is a great product, tracking the main health concerns most people want to know on a given day. The downside is the yearly subscription cost. I also purchased the Hume and it does a great job of tracking without the subscription.

Spendy but well worth every $.
I purchased this for myself as I am working toward a more healthful life and it was recommended by family members. At first, I struggled with the annual subscription $; however, after using it for over a month now, I am amazed at the amount of data and recommendations for improvements in my health. It even has what is called "Healthspan" which predicts your actual age versus chronologic age based on your health data. Each day, the user is able to recieve a summary of past 24 hours as well as what improvements can be made in the future to positively affect the user's Healthspan. I had Fitbits for at least at least 13 years and this is an absolute game changer! Well worth the $$ based on the changes I have already been able to make in just over a month's time. It is recommended to keep the tracker on at all times, including showering. It is a bit awkward recharging because the charger actually is applied to the tracker and it charges while you are on the move (I didn't know this at first). I did change the original mesh wristband for a silicone replacement because I didn't like wearing a wet band after showering. This is only a personal preference and I don't think it should be considered a negative to the overall product, but feel others should be aware. Finally, similar to Fitbit, there are communities which the user can join to encourage improvement. You can also create a new community as my family did, so we can compete against each other while obtaining positive health benefits. New communities can be shared with others by simply sending a code and, again, very easy. In my opinion this is a very well made product that can definitely lead to improved health and wellness!

Buyer beware. Really cool idea, but died after 3 weeks.... No idea when it will be replaced.
Totally excited to order this tracker (WHOOP 5.0) and the all the metrics it tracks and the AI interface in the app. make it seems you have a full time assist reviewing your daily steps, sleep, heart rate, etc. Once it arrived, I immediately downloaded the app and connected via bluetooth. Ok, I will break down the good and the bad: The Good: 1. Great battery life and easy to recharge while wearing it. No screen obviously helps with this long battery life 2. The application is very intuitive and it appears they are continuing on improving it. 3. The AI assistant to give you insights with all your metrics and gives you recommendations on how you can improve your sleep, HR, and overall health. 4. The built in Journal is really handy to track your overall habits. Ok, now the Bad.... 1. No screen. This was obvious when I ordered, but coming from a Fitbit, just something you need to get used to. 2. Some of the metrics take weeks to unlock, so you need to be patient for those features, such as whats your WHOOP fitness age vs. actual age. 3. $399.00 every year... 4. The BIG ONE!!!!!!! My $399.00 WHOOP worked great for 3 weeks, then stopped tracking my sleep. After a couple nights of this, the built AI assistant recommended I shut off the blueotooth and re-connect. That did nothing. Next was to reset the unit. That did nothing. Basically without it tracking your sleep, it didn't switch to the next day, so know all the my metrics were messed up. Example, my daily steps are usually 14K. It was know showing as 28K per day. So I contacted customer support... After they made me send photos proving how I was wearing it, then finally agreed after several days that the unit needed to be replaced. No kidding. As of today, I am 15 days without my unit working, and no ship date on when a replacement will be sent to me. All they told me is they have a lot of new orders. I really don't care about, take care of your existing clients first. So, buyer beware.

Great for your health goals
I’ve been using the WHOOP Strap 5.0 for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the most insightful fitness tools I’ve ever used. What sets it apart is the focus on recovery, sleep, and strain—not just steps or calories. The daily recovery score has been a game changer for knowing when to push hard and when to dial it back. It’s helped me train smarter instead of just harder. The sleep tracking is incredibly detailed, breaking down everything from sleep stages to how well you actually recovered overnight. I also love that it gives practical recommendations, not just data. The band itself is comfortable enough to wear 24/7, and the battery pack system is super convenient since you can charge it without taking it off. Only downside is the subscription model, but honestly, if you’re serious about fitness, it’s worth it for the level of insight you get. Overall, highly recommend—especially if you want to understand your body better and improve performance and recovery.

Everything This Thing Can Do, Something Else Can Do Better
I wrote a full review for this item before the Amazon app glitched and I lost a full page of notes. I'm not going to go through that trouble again, but you NEED to know one thing before purchasing: Whatever this thing can do, something else can do better. The only "up" this has on other wearables is the battery life--which is great. Everything else is outperformed by competitors. I had a Samsung Watch 5 Pro that could tell me what exercise I was doing (lifting weights, walking, napping, etc.) at all times. This Whoop asks you what exercise you were doing, and if it's not on the list then you can't enter it on your own. Taking a shower? This device will think you were swimming. Blood pressure monitoring? It's a fake. If you go to the trouble of using an actual cuff and enter manual readings, the Whoop can give you a good estimate. That estimate is based on analyzing your activity and other metrics, though, not on actually measuring your bp. Blood sugar was teased as a possible function in the future. There's no way this thing could do this accurately in this version. Accessories like new bands have to be purchased in the Whoop store. I had to spend $50.00 for a brown fabric band because nothing was available from retailers. Want a custom band or something nicer? You're gonna have to pay big. Battery life is great. You'll get 14 to 16 days every time. That was an important consideration when making this purchase and it's the only thing that has impressed me. The app and the user interface is clunky and uncompromising. There's no way to customize the display or rearrange widgets that I have been able to find. I bought this item to replace a Samsung Watch 5 Pro because I needed something with better battery life. I got it. Absolutely nothing else is better after three months (plus) with the Whoop. Save your money and spend it on something better.

The Subscription Costs More Than the Data Is Worth
I purchased WHOOP hoping for deep insights into my health, recovery, sleep, fitness, and overall wellness. After spending considerable time with it, I have mixed feelings. The biggest issue is the subscription cost. The hardware is only part of the expense, and the ongoing membership adds up quickly. For that price, I expected more detailed analysis and actionable information than what I ultimately received. WHOOP does provide a lot of data, but much of it feels surface-level. You'll get recovery scores, strain scores, sleep metrics, HRV, resting heart rate, biological age estimates, and other wellness indicators. The app does a good job explaining what the numbers mean, but often the insights feel simplified rather than truly in-depth. The platform seems heavily focused on recovery metrics, biological age, and overall wellness trends rather than providing detailed explanations of what's actually driving the results. After a while, it can feel like you're repeatedly looking at scores and summaries without gaining significantly deeper understanding. I also found the device somewhat "judgmental" in how it handles wear time. If you remove it briefly for something as simple as a shower, it can impact tracking and make it feel like you're being penalized for not wearing it continuously. Some features were more impressive than others. The ECG capability is interesting, but it's not automatically monitoring—you have to actively perform the measurement. The blood pressure estimates appear to rely heavily on calibration and prior measurements rather than direct continuous readings. Accuracy was mixed. Heart rate tracking generally seemed reasonable, but I found oxygen saturation readings often differed from dedicated fingertip pulse oximeters I own. That made me question how much confidence I should place in some of the health metrics. The battery life is good, the device is comfortable, and the app is easy to use. However, for the monthly cost, I expected deeper analytics, more medical-grade accuracy, and more meaningful insights beyond the recovery and biological age focus. If you're highly interested in recovery tracking and wellness trends, WHOOP may be a good fit. If you're looking for detailed health analytics and comprehensive fitness data, make sure you understand exactly what you're paying for before committing to the subscription.

Excellent - life-changer!
If I could give 10 stars I would! I bought the high spec 'Life' version and even at what I paid (£349) I think it is crazy value for money and I shall most definitely be renewing again after 12 months. It has provided invaluable data and intelligence, supporting my cardiac issues, sleep management, exercise regime, rest, recovery management eating times and so much more. The user interface and experience is very. Battery life of over a week and quick recharge means I'm never without it (with the clip-on charger you can charge it while using it at the gym etc. I thought my Apple Watch and phone were good, but this is on a totally different level. In my case it's literally a life-changer.
