屋内や車内で使用する前提なら限定的ですが冷たさを感じると思います。屋外前提なら他の手段を考えた方が良いです。 当然ですがレベル4や5だとバッテリー消費が早いですが強く冷さを感じます。レベル3だと6時間は待ちました。ただ冷たさは微妙です。 全身をめちゃくちゃ冷やす事は出来ませんが、 首周りの一部分を冷たいと感じる事は出来ます。 安く無い商品なので費用対効果を考えるとまだ強く勧められませんが、新しい暑さ対策として今後の発展モデルに期待します。

新型も出ましたが重さとのバランス的にこれで満足しています。 夏の暑いときは冷たさと時間の持ちにもう少し頑張ってほしいけど、冬は少しの分量で十分温かいです。

まず結論を述べるとオススメしません。 ペルティエ素子、いいじゃないかよく冷え、暖かくもできる。 当方夏の使用を目的として購入し、実際に真夏の炎天下や電車内、室内で使用した感想ですが、クールモードを手動でMAXにすると真夏の炎天下であろうが冷たさを感じることができます。ただ、恐ろしい速度でバッテリーがなくなりますので、普通は自動調整モードにするかと思います。自動モードにしていると機器側で自動で至適温度に設定されるのですが、そうすると皮膚感覚が慣れてきてしまいあまり冷たさを感じなくなります。またその特性上背中に密着するようにつけないと効果を発揮できないものなのですが、この密着させるのが結構難しく、結局少し隙間があいており、十分な効果が得られないことが多々ありました。 そもそもの話をするとこちらの機器は炎天下での使用は想定されていないですが、室内でもこれらのことは同様です。またこのペルチェ素子部分しか温度変化しないので、それ以外は普通に暑いです。首周り、特に頸動脈を効果的に冷やせるようなアイテムのほうが冷感を感じやすいと思われます。あと地味に重いので首、肩がこります。 以上の点からオススメできず、これを購入するなら更に改良されてから考えるか、安価でお手軽さが勝っているマジックアイスネッククーラーのほうが良いと思いました。

他の方のリビューにもありますが若干使用場面を選ぶのは動作原理から当たり前です。直射日光の強い屋外では効果は限定的ですが、それでも頭がふらふらする感じや部門頭痛の発生は効果的に抑えてくれます。当たり前ですが、汗が吹き出ることは抑えません。総合的に星5ですが、自分が使う環境（目的）に合っているかを考慮して選択すべき。 タグが気温、湿度、明るさ（恐らく日光の推定に使い）をタグが検知して自動で動作強度を変えます。可成り感度よく反応してます。例えば電車のホームから車内に乗ると一気に弱い運転になるし、逆に車外にでたりすると一気に強くて動作します。家を出てから目的地まで、オンオフや強さの調節りすること無く装着時しっぱなしですみます。 意外と便利なのは冷房が強いとか首の後に冷気が直接当たるときにわざとhotにすると肩がほぐれる感じになります。首に使い捨てカイロを当てた感じ。一つのデバイスでcoolとhotにいけるのは優れものです。激冷の場所でホットで使うことが意外とあります。そうした場面で本体を弄る必要が無いのはとてもよいです。

他の商品を買った方が良いと思います。

確かに冷たくはなるが 冷たくなる金属部が左右の肩甲骨の間の窪んだ所にくるので皮膚との接触があまりなく、冷たさを感じにくい。 最新型のはその辺が改良されてるのでは？

バイクでの利用動画を見てバイクでの使用を目的に購入しました。猛暑日にかなり長時間使用しました。充電しながら使える5+は良さそうな予想でしたが、涼しさを感じるよりも吹き出し口の熱を感じることの方が多かったです。ジャケットの襟との相性かもしれませんが、バイクでの利用は過度に期待しない方がよさそうです。 ただし、予想に反して日常では意外に使える感じで、エアコンの設定温度を1度高くしてもあまり苦にならないぐらいの効果があります。また、エアコンの効いた部屋と（暑い）外との頻繁に出入りする環境だどタグが素早く反応して強さを自動的に変えてくれるので助かります。 最初は装着に慣れませんでしたが、数日連続して装着しているとほとんど着けていることを意識しなくなりました。 またバッテーリの持ちもよくて、朝から装着していると15時頃までそのまま使えます。（1日中はちょっと無理なのでお昼休みに充電しています） 普段スマホとの連携はほとんど必要ありませんが、スマホとつながらないことが結構頻繁にあります。（スマホの問題なのかソフトウェアの問題なのかよく分かりませんが、別のスマホでも同様の現状がありました）

汗がスーっと引きます

Sony reon pocket 5 is like having a slightly cold water bottle on your back surface area. I have tested reon in UK summer weather in temperatures of 26 to 29°C. It can be used with a power bank/plug which will activate reon 5plus mode a more powerful mode. The main drawback is that you need to keep adjusting it to your body so the metal plate touches your back. The metal plate surface area is tiny, so it's harder to distribute the cold plate across your back. Alot of water condensation on the metal plate after a while of use. Drawback, your body will get used to the cold plate, and you won't feel anything cold down your spine after a few minutes. I'm afraid you will still sweat in hot weather outside on the tube. I wish the temperature could be colder, as you will still sweat. Im a bit disspointment as I expected more from sony reon to cool me down, the reon only helps you keep cool a bit but not much. It's a niche product that's not worth over £140 RRP. as it's much cheaper and better to get a neck fan. It also takes almost 3 hours to fully charge it. I give it a 2.5 out of 5, as Sony needs to make further improvements to the cooling area. I wish there was a fan to blow cold air around the body, as you be using mostly levels 4 and 5 as the cooling very weak. The app require gps and bluetooth alway on which can also drain your phone battery. Please be aware that you need to use the reon app for the first time to even use the auto-start and manual button. So, I do not recommend the reon pocket 5 to people outside of the reon app's country support list. The manual button and auto-start feature only work once you have set up and used the app at least once for it to remember your previous settings. Updated. Plastic part and neck band started to break within a month of use. See pic.

Sony REON POCKET 5 is a personal climate control that hooks around your neck. It has a metal pad on the back that can get hot or cold to your desire. You wear it around your neck; I found this comfortable – helped no end by the wires being easily adjustable so you can stop it digging in. The Rocket has a button on the side; but you can set it to automatic mode where it powers on as you put it on. The build quality overall is good; the buttons on the main Reon device and the keychain thermometer could have a nicer action though. The Reon Pocket 5 also has a built-in fan, which at the highest levels will be heart by those around you. Strangely you don’t seem to be able to use the temperature control and the fan; or set it up to blow air into your shirt. Though part of that may be the terrible app; it may be a great app on android; but on iPhone it’s a mess of icons all over the screen to pick one setting to use at a time (as well as an auto mode to choose from. Some of the options do offer some prompt text; like the wave mode example I included – I wouldn’t know what it was without clicking on it though. I have been using it walking around in the mid-august sun and found it does a good job keeping my back cool, and my shirt fresher. I included a photo that shows the vent sticking out of the back of my polo shirt. The kit includes two; one for t-shirts and one for collared shirts. It’s not especially noticeable. The pack also includes a thermometer you can attach to your keys. I’m not sure what extra benefit they offer as the app really doesn’t say. As winter draws in may offer a nice way to stay warmer out and about, and maybe at my home office desk. The battery life is pretty good; I can do a 90-minute walk and still have half the battery available. For full days walk you will need a power bank to charge it up via the usb port on the side; or run with the fan only or less cooling and heat. You can run the Reon and charge it at the same time. I find the device itself comfortable at my desk and walking around. The battery life is fine for me on most days; a power bank will keep it going. Walking in the sun the cool on my back kept me feeling comfortable was the reason I wanted one; and it ticks that box. The app really needs some tic to give more and easier control; thankfully you don’t need to use it regularly.

There was no leaflet for the main device so it has not been possible to set up and use the item until we are back home and able to download and print a copy. Very disappointing for something given as a gift
