My countertops are 25 yrs old. Even when washed down there are dulled spots and areas looks like boiling pans sat. Will this restore those parts?

Dear Ms. Villanueva:  I have been disappointed by Hope's Perfect Counterop.  I have old, battered countertops, too, and Perfect Counterop has not improved them.  Perfect Countertop is more like a wax that leaves a residue.  It does not really rub in, but leaves a slippery surface in which you can see your rubbing circles and afterwards you can see your handprints, fingerprints, fingerprints and finger swipes.  A good CSI scene.  My old tops are black granite and whoever thought black granite was/is a good kitchen surface must have had a blockhead brain of black granite.  It is the worst countertop and kitchen surface I have ever encountered. Hope's Perfect Granite is a much better and much more effective product even on my black granite tops, but that said, even Hope's Perfect Granite is not really a match for black granite countertops.  I am thinking that my tops should either be ground down and repolished (sort of like they grind down old asphalt and concrete highways),  OR they need to be replaced altogether.  If your tops are 25 years old, they have faithfully served and if it were me I would replace, remodel, upgrade, renovate, etc.  You and your kitchen deserve it.  Depending on the material of your tops, you might try Perfect Granite with a better result and without residue.  Countertops have come a long, long way in  25 to 30 years and even I was amazed at the nature of Formica in the 21st Century.  I put a new improved Formica counter top into an old house I remodeled and it rivals the new stones and other new synthetics and manmades for beauty, appearance, class, etc.  The Formica of today is not my Grandfather's or my Father's Formica as they say. Can it be used on Wilsonart countertops?

Fern, I really don't know, I don't know what a Wilsonart countertop is but it is water soluble. I would try it in an inconspicuous space.

Yes, it's safe, but I wasn't impressed with product. Save your money.

Does this work on formica? I have a bleach stain and was wondering if this would get rid of it.

At Formica's website, they say:

"While it’s true some people apply car wax to add sheen to laminated services, the only such product the Formica Group endorses for this purpose is Hope’s Perfect Countertop. If damage has been done and the discoloration is already present, clean the surface and apply Hope’s Perfect Countertop to restore its appearance."
