Saxophone Mute, Tenor Saxophone Mute Aluminum Alloy Sax Sound Dampener Practice Silencer Accessory

Bought this for under £10, wasnt sure how effective a mute would be so bought on price. Have tried it a couple of times and i does take the edge off of the volume but does change the tone to a slightly drker sound. Doesnt alter pitch which is a good thing. It appears to be made out of aluminium with a strip of felt run around the base where in contact with the bell of the sax. Finish is basic, edges on the top 'handle' are sharp but will not be in contact with the sax. If I had gone to a music shop to purchase a mute I would have gone for something a little more substantial with a better finish and would have been happy to pay more.

If I could give 0 I would does not even fit in my sax.

this product does not function as advertised or expected in my opinion it barely reduces the sound the saxaphone produces
