XVX Shine Through グラデーション シーウィード グリーン キーキャップ - 136キー サイドプリント ダブルショット PBT OEMプロファイル Cherry Gateron MXスイッチ用

Pros: Striking Aesthetic Appeal: The XVX Shine Through Keycaps boast a visually appealing design, with side-printed legends that offer a unique and stylish appearance. The keycaps' translucency allows for vibrant backlighting to shine through, adding a touch of elegance to any keyboard setup. Premium Material: Crafted from durable PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), these double-shot keycaps are known for their superior quality and longevity. The double-shot molding process ensures that the legends will never fade or wear off, maintaining the keycaps' aesthetic appeal over time. Comprehensive Keycap Set: With 136 keys included in the set, users have ample options to customize their keyboards to their liking. Whether it's for a full-sized keyboard or a custom layout, the XVX Shine Through Keycaps offer compatibility and versatility to accommodate various layouts and preferences. Cons: Limited Compatibility: While the keycap set is comprehensive, it may lack compatibility with certain non-standard layouts or keyboard models. Users with specialized keyboards or layouts may find that not all keys fit their specific configuration, limiting the usability of the set. Mixed Quality Control: Some users have reported inconsistencies in keycap thickness and printing quality across the set. While most keycaps may meet expectations, occasional defects or imperfections in printing or molding may detract from the overall aesthetic and user experience. Price Consideration: Compared to standard keycap sets, the XVX Shine Through Keycaps may command a higher price due to their premium materials and design. While the quality justifies the cost for some users, others may find it challenging to justify the investment, especially considering the aforementioned compatibility and quality control issues. Verdict: In conclusion, the XVX Shine Through Keycaps offer a blend of style and durability, earning a moderate rating of 3 stars. While they excel in aesthetics and material quality, concerns regarding compatibility, quality control, and pricing prevent them from achieving a higher rating. For users seeking a visually stunning keycap set with reliable durability, the XVX Shine Through Keycaps may be a suitable option. However, prospective buyers should be mindful of potential compatibility issues and variations in quality, weighing these factors against the premium price tag before making a purchase decision.

Good quality for the price. Go well with my other south facing keycaps. They came packaged in a box so there was no damage from shipping.

Beautiful keys, looks amazing and feels great. Easy installation. The shine-through is nice and clear.

The spacebar was shiny within 2 months of use. Definitely not PBT. If you don't mind that, the caps are really nice - fit well and sound good.

For the price, they could be worse. Didn't have any issues getting these to fit on my standard stems and I had no obvious cracks/misprints/damaged keys in the set. I put them on in December 2023 and have put up with them until today when I finally had to remove them. For me, I liked the idea of side legend and the clean aesthetic but unfortunately my main board has north facing LEDS. I took another reviewer's word who said it would be bright enough even with north facing. Maybe my LEDs just suck, but even at night the legends weren't shining through clearly enough for me to comfortably make out the legends. I mostly touch type but this was really annoying because I don't usually use the raised keys as legends, I glance without thinking to see where the letters are and then touch type from there. Compared to the product photos that show shine-through examples, the light doesn't come through even close to as evenly and the edges aren't crisp at all (adding to the difficulty). Considering I am not the ideal user for these keys (north facing) and the reasonable price, I am only docking one star. I bought a different XVX set with a profile I like better and normal top legends/no shinethrough, and I'm just going to get a monitor light to illuminate the keys better at night instead. I am tossing these because I am unhappy with the crispness of the legends even in daylight, and if I ever get a board with southfacing LEDs I'll go with another brand for shine through. Too much work to change all the keycaps if I still don't like them, then I'd have to redo everything again lol.
