For the original $18, I'm not sure how worth-it the cost is, but right now it is on sale for a little less than half that. I haven't tried other almond gums in the past to really compare, but this seems fine to me. I plan to make Jigarthanda with it and some other desserts which is certainly a great use for this almond gum. I'm not the most versatile in the kitchen, so I'm hoping I can find some creative uses for this and get to experiment! The fact that it is all natural and free of any sort of "bad" things is also a great comfort for me, since I am sensitive to everything under the sun

Product is very good but minute black particles appeared after soaking. Otherwise it is a good product and I used it to make delicious Jigarthanda
