Root Unscented Arista Timberline Dinner Candles, 12-Inch, Azalea, Box 12

They are candles. They work like candles.What I liked specifically about these candles is thata) they are made in part from natural beeswax, reducing the reliance on petroleum-based paraffin (would have preferred 100% beeswax)b) they are unscented, which i like (sensitive nose)c) they amazingly lived up to a rather tall order on my part: i wanted candles that resembled my guy's dreadlocks, as they were for decorating the cake i'd prepared for his dreadlocks' 15th birthday celebration (really, just an excuse to have people over). the deep cocoa color and long and slightly tapered shape were (amusingly) spot-on.performance review:- they lit- they burned- they blew out- they were really tall & mighty for a birthday cake-- they're probably better suited to normal taper candle applications- they did sort of resemble dreads. burning dreads. burning spear?- they did also sort of unappetizingly resemble other things. people were kind enough not to mention it til cake-eating was over.- they are promoted as having an exceptionally long life, burning 150% longer than other tapers-- and that seems to be a truthful claim. these have outlived the occasion for which i purchased them, and i've been waiting for fall to roll around so i can continue using them again. it's amazing how few occasions there are in a year to break out big, brown candles. i may in fact still have these on hand for a 20th year birthday celebration...

So far, I've gotten three of the colors of candles...intend to buy more. They are rich colors and not what one usually finds. The candles I've burned didn't drip at all...no wax melting down the candle or dripping onto the holder. For that alone, they're worth the expense, but I think the color choices are sophisticated and beautiful. On my monitor, the pink ones were less rose toned than pictured, but the deep turquoise and the red were just as pictured. The wax is dense so that it does not burn quickly. I haven't clocked the burn time yet, but it seems to be much better than average. This price point is high for me but I was so in love with the colors I splurged. Now, I'm glad I did and intend to get more in the future.

Excellent candles. Have bought Root candles over and over again. Only had a drippage issue once, otherwise they are very good about burning down slowly.I'm docking one star for two reasons:(1) it's a pain to remove their labels and you occasionally end up damaging the candle trying to remove them.(2) these are quite pricy. When you spend more, you get what you pay for, but I still think these are overpriced.If Root makes it easy to remove the label and drops the price, I would definitely give these 5 stars.

High quality candles that last a long time, as advertised. The colors are rich and the base fits into our candle holders solidly, as the wax is just soft enough to mold into them. For long candles I either melt a bit of wax into the holder first, then place the candle or use a bit of candle-fixer.

Beautiful candle. Took off one star for the labels that are on each candle. These labels are very, very difficult to remove..

We enjoy these candles in this neutral shade and purchased 10 of them for two five arm candelabras on a fireplace. Have purchased this brand in a wine color and like them as well, although these others are scented. I especially like the size and texture.

I love these candles. A little pricey, but they don't drip and last.

I love the look of these candles. The color is beautiful and perfect for Easter. They are well made and burn a long time.
