I purchased this as a backup power source and to run an Engle 12 volt ice chest in the event of power failure. It runs the ice chest for a day and a half and then the battery shuts itself off to preserve enough power to start a vehicle. The first thing I noticed about the battery is it’s unbelievably lightweight, compared to a conventional battery. Obviously this is a big plus for portability. The built in handle is brilliant. Why don’t all batteries have that? The on-off switch is also very handy. There is a LED which slowly flashes around the push button switch to let you know it’s “on.” The way it disconnects itself when it gets low on charge is brilliant. It is pricy, but with all these features I think it’s well worth it.

Update 11/7/25 - Found battery was going dead, after troubleshooting found that the Dirty Parts Wrangler solenoid I had installed in 2015 had a voltage drop of nearly 0.7 VDC, this battery is a 2nd battery in the FJ so it wasn't getting fully charged when I would run the car. I purchased a stinger 200 amp from Amazon which was a direct replacement and now I get full voltage to the battery. I still have a small solar panel connected to the battery but I had parked under a tree for several weeks do to some yard work. I had started the car a few times during that period to top off the battery, but noticed the battery went into low voltage mode after a day. Usually 5 minutes of leaving the car on would keep it topped off for at least a week, that's what lead me to dig into what was happening and I found the drop in voltage on the NO contacts on the solenoid, all good now, 5 years and this battery is still going strong Put this is a 2nd battery in a 2014 FJ Cruiser, I use it full time to power a "Loraffe Under Hood Animal Repeller Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent LED Rodent Strobe Light Ultrasound Device" which I bought of amazon. This battery is basically charged regularly from a 20 watt solar panel on the FJ Roof Rack and the strobe/sound device runs 24/7. Had to install this as Rodents ate the wiring on the FJ Knock Sensor (twice within a year) this battery has been doing it for 4 years and also doubles as a backup starter battery. I just replaced the Main FJ Battery with Ionic Lithium Start battery.

I bought this battery 10 months ago, and I have to give it a review since I'd have to say this battery is the best one that I've ever used. Due to work I gotta travel abroad several times a year. The battery in the car was drained most of the time when I got home. Even though we can jump cable to get the engine started, it does hurt the battery a lot. The most embarassing moment was that I couldn't start my car when I was attending parties or went shopping. I replaced 4 batteries in the past 6 years including Duralast in Autozone. I've been seeking better solution for my situatuon and fortunately I found this one. It's not cheap but I saw it's promoting a 10-year life and I don't needa jump cable over and over again after I travel. Therefore, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't wait to turn on my car after my 1st trip since I used this battery. The power is still out, but I just simply hit the reset buttom on the battery and it just resumed functional!! I can't be more excited than that! I was excited to test out some various situation that would drain the battery, but it just started smoothly. I'd say I'm sooo lucky finding this battery, or else a lot more time will have to be spent dealing with those drained batteries. Hopefully this review would help the guys who have the similar situations.
