Best practice is to replace the front disc, rear disc and to foot pads. The vendor has an excellent video showing how easily this can be done.

I'm a non mechanical person and I was able to replace!
My husband wanted to buy a new creepy crawler. Ours was 3 years old and we never take it out of the pool. Time for a new one. My old discs were in awful shape! I saved over $300 by replacing the front disc and rear disc. I think you should replace both at the same time. I found a you tube video online that helped me. I was pretty proud of myself!

Easy to Install OEM Replacement
The Zodiac Rear Disc I ordered was a perfect replacement for an older Zodiac T5 pool cleaner. Our last one broke due to cooler weather and normal wear and tear.Our pool cleaner came by and saw the disc part, and quickly replaced it for us. While I intended to change it, he said he had done it before, and it was easy to replace.The disc has lasted throughout our summer season, and it appears it will last for quite a while.
