Works very well as advertised albeit with some quirks
It has worked flawlessly with 2 windows laptops and a macbook laptop. Here are some quirks though that prevents it from being perfect: 1 cable USB-C solution is inconsistent under at least two scenarios: 1. MacBooks don't support the one cable solution. 2. Even on the Windows laptops, the cable does not supply enough power and I ended up having to plug in another USB C specifically to supply power to both monitors. Other than this, the monitors are light, portable, and very sharp. The 1920x1200 aspect resolution is perfect for productivity (I even prefer it to higher resolutions because Windows UI scaling continues to be funny sometimes).

Lightweight, Sturdy Build, Portable
I travel a lot and relying on just a laptop screen is really difficult for me, with spreadsheets, code and financial charts open at the same time. The Asus duo monitor are incredibly lightweight, I was surprised how light when I got it. It's also made of aluminum which feels high quality. The flip stand hinge is really solid and holds the monitor in place without any problems, but I am purchasing the 1/4" mount to raise the monitors higher off the desk. The quality of the screens is excellent, I use a MacBook Air M4 and I can have each monitor show independent screens as long as I connect both USB-C cables. It mentions that you. must connect the power cord to the monitor as well, but I have found that my laptop seems to power the monitors without the need for the power cable, but I would recommend plugging the laptop into power so that there is some pass-through. The monitor comes with a really nice zip-up carry bag that has a sleeve on the front to hold the USB-C cables which is very useful. You can easily pack the monitor in a backpack with your laptop without much extra weight/bulk. The only downside is the price, as it is a bit more expensive than many other solutions. However, this is built from aluminum rather than plastic, the bezels around the screens are very small, the hinges are good quality, the back kickstand hinges are also good quality, and the resolution of the monitor is excellent, so I suppose you get what you pay for. It also comes with a 3 year warranty if you register it with Asus, so that is a big plus in my book.

Impressive array of displays
I've used many portable screens over the past 15 years and still carry portable monitors on international business trips today. My setup typically involves triple screens due to heavy spreadsheet use. I own no fewer than 8 portable monitors and choose among them based on mobility and readability. For local work, I prefer an Asus ROG Strix 17" with tripod & an Asus MB16AC. For domestic travel, I bring dual 17" ViewSonic VX1755 screens. And for leisurely work at airport lounges & cafes, I prefer the 15.6" ViewSonic 4K OLED or the 15.6" Asus 4K ProArt (PA169CDV). While I have others, those are my go-tos due to their build quality and image fidelity. The ZenScreen Duo is my choice for international travel, especially when I want triple-screen productivity without the TSA hassle of unloading multiple devices (I have TSA Preโ๏ธ and Global Entry but they don't mean much in Europe & Asia) โ combining two screens into one unit makes it slightly less troublesome to unload into bins. After a month of use, my verdict is mixed: I love the portability, the integrated stand, the brightness, and the vivid OLED colors. However, the small screen size (14"???) feels cramped, and the lack of USB-C passthrough charging is a serious drawback โ Asus could take a lesson from ViewSonic on this front. This monitor comes close to being excellent, but the size and charging limitations are critical misses. Hopefully, a next-gen model addresses these gaps. That said, I still appreciate that a reputable brand took the initiative to offer something unique & affordable in the portable monitor space. Itโs earned a spot in my travel kit. The photo Iโve uploaded shows my 4-screen setup, with the ZenScreen Duo on the left and the ViewSonic 4K OLED on the right.

Bad interface, customer support, poor design/performance
Iโm deeply disappointed in this purchase, especially considering how expensive it was. For the price, I expected a reliable, wellโengineered product, but it has been nothing but a constant source of frustration. I work as an engineer and regularly operate highโpowered stations and complex systems, so Iโm no stranger to technical equipment. Even with that background, I could not get this device to function properly or consistently. The setup alone is unnecessarily complicated. It requires two or three separate cords just to perform the job that a single connection should handle. Getting the computer to recognize it is a challenge in itself, and even when it does connect, the performance is extremely poor. Cheaper versions Iโve owned in the past worked far better and required far less effort. Over the course of a full year, I kept trying to make this product workโadjusting settings, reinstalling software, swapping cables, and troubleshooting every possible angle. Nothing improved its reliability or functionality. Eventually, I had to accept that the device simply isnโt capable of delivering what it promises. Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing and inefficient purchases Iโve ever made. I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Great travel momitor
This is a great travel monitor. It is light and give plenty of screen real estate for productivity. Due to work restrictions I am unable to comment of all the features. The only mode I'm unable to review is the extended mode. My employer does not allow the use of any USB peripherals except keyboard and mouse. The split screen, individual, and mirror modes are wonderful. I highly recommend this unit for anyone that travels for work. The photo is of my personal setup and my work travel setup. The monitor is in split mode.

Quality build but poor user experience
The screens themselves look great - sharp, vibrant colors, infinite OLED contrast. The case, hinge, and kick stand also feel sturdy and well built. My complaints are more on the firmware/usability side. For starters, the control wheel is mushy and unresponsive. More than half the times I attenpted to use it nothing happened, and even when it did work it was very sluggish. Feels like the control hardware is just very underpowered, even for the simple task of running a configuration menu. I thought there it was possible to use both screens with only one USB-C cable but I could not figure out a way to do this. There are a few different "modes" and it wasn't very clear what they did, nor did it seem consistent. I played around with them (trying to get both screens from one cable) and at one point it made Windows think there was a phantom screen that I couldn't see? The whole experience felt janky. Also, pass-through charging did not work. So to fully utilize this with your laptop you need at least 3 available ports - one for each screen and one for charging. One of those can be HDMI, but still, this is a lot to ask of a laptop in 2026, especially if you have other peripherals. It can work if you really need 3 screens, but overall not worth the high price.

Light weight, quality dual screen portable monitor, a solid buy
Wow. This monitor was so light I thought I had made a mistake when I felt the weight of it, I wanted a quality portable monitor and it did not feel like it judging by the weight. I was very incorrect when I fully took it out and fired it up. Picture quality is crisp, itโs bright, and was very easy to set up. No need to plug it in, it is powered directly through the USB-C computer connection. I use this for extra space for document parsing, and use it for extra space to watch stock charts. This thing is perfect, it is exactly what I wanted. Well worth it and highly recommended. It even came with a nice Asus carrying case!

Works with ChromeOS
This turned out way better than I had hoped for with my Framework Chromebook. I wasn't sure what modes would work without the Asus software, but I can report that the combined monitors into a single virtual display display mode works, dual monitor mode works, and the mirror mode with auto rotation works. I also only need the single usb-c cable for both monitors to work. Again this is on a Chromebook without any Asus software. As far as portability, it's like packing around another well built, ultraportable laptop. If you need the screen real estate it's a great option.

A Necessary buy for 2D Animation IMHO
Bought it to be a part of my 2D animation studio set up for after work at my work camp and I gotta tell ya, its a purchase I don't regret. It's really light, quick and easy set up to put up reference pics, video tutorials, etc, while working on practicing a few animation shots and illustrations here and there. A few people will believe that it's not necessary, until they actually need it. I also bought the stand for it so that I can place it however I see fit. A real necessity too. I do wish the screens were slightly bigger than 14" (like 18" each), but I'm happy with the purchase regardless.
