Good quality in a small package
I needed a small amount of polymetric sand to do some minor repairs in cracks around some granite pavers and this sand did the trick. The 20 lbs of dark grey speckled sand comes in a white plastic pail with no labels and no instructions so I just looked up a reminder on the internet of how to "set" the sand once in place by misting on water a couple of times. The method is easy and standard. The sand dries nice and hard but still has a little flexibility to move with a freeze thaw cycle. It looks great in place and is easy to use. Others have commented their sand came busted open. My shipment was received intact though the pail the rim of the lid side was well dented in. This small heavy item could use a little better packing but mine got through just fine.Easy to use, works well, good value for the money. Highly recommended!

Great product, but only for catch up work- not enough to do a large job at all
Good stuff. Follow the instructions and it will lock your pavers from wiggling or growing weeds. I love it.For quantities though I would buy the concentrate version and make my own out of it and dry sand. I'm using this just because I didnt make quite enough mixture in the first place, and this is certainly less expensive than my time and gas money going to the Depot and trying again..!!

Doesn’t cover as much as it states
The stuff is great, much easier to use than expected, looks wonderful; no complaints at all about the material, just disappointed about the coverage info. The pavers I used where standard thickness for brick pavers, yet the square foot coverage was maybe half what I had read it to be, so just buy extra.

Poor shipping material and method
I ordered six of these 18 pound buckets, but only two arrived. Some buckets were apparently damaged in transit. The two buckets that arrived were packaged sideways in an Amazon box. The buckets were quite flimsy and I could see how these easily break open in transit. I will never ordered this product again. (Manufacturer: package in stronger tubs. Amazon: ship in boxes right side up.).

Know that this product comes with no directions for use.
I had worked with a similar product on another project which came with directions, so I applied those directions to this product. It worked very well so far. I used this sand to set irregular slate stone around a fire pit. The ground is on a gentle slope which allowed other products to wash away in heavy rains. The biggest problem I had was trying to get the sand delivered. UPSP had to repeatedly return my order because it was damaged in transport . I did made Amazon aware of the problem, and finally received my sand. It is a bit pricey, but if it works, I'm thrilled.

Just what I needed
This product creates a strong permanent bond between pavers and even my flagstones. I needed the color gray and the lower poundage than what I found in Home Depot and Lowes. Plus, I found it impossible to get the gray color anywhere. What I did for my flagstones instead of calling in a mason, to do expensive repair, is I spread this carefully into the joints where some of the concrete had lifted. I made sure all lose particles were removed before applying the sand. It hardened very nicely and blends in very well with the grayish color of the old concrete that is still in place. Just be sure that you don't get any of this product on your pavers or flagstone or at least sweep it off carefully before you apply water lightly. On my hose nozzle, I selected a misty spray first to apply so the sand would not well up and spill over out of the seams. After that got absorbed, I used a fan setting on my hose nozzle. So far, and a couple of months later, it is all still in place despite torrential rains. I will see what happens over the winter.

Grows moss. Doesn’t dry well.
Did the job for a few months. It disappeared later and where it didn’t disappeared it just doesn’t dry after rain. And it’s full of moss and bugs live in it!
