When Mitch Walker and his pregnant wife Diane inherit his uncle's house in Illinois, they discover elaborate apparatus in the basement that his uncle had used to photograph people’s Aura, which some claim, is a person’s SOUL. Mitch realises his sister Karen, might have been a victim of her uncle’s experiments which could explain why she was confined to an asylum since childhood. He brings his sister to the house and hires local psychic to help him solve the mystery who quickly discovers that Karen was possessed as a child by a demon, and in fact, his uncle was trying to help her, not harm her. They hold a séance to try and free Karen of her curse… but can she ever be free?

how to have a Rosemary's Baby without eating chocolate mousse with a chalky undertaste
that's a possibility implied at the end, unfortunately Mitch is also now married to a wife from Hell, literally LOL.not a half bad supernatural themed film although I couldn't get over Mitch being so calm and sanguine throughout the movie, it just didn't make sense. The occult elements are well presented and satisfying enough without floundering in a sea of the usual bad cliches. The aesthetics and overall atmosphere are deliciously mysterious and intriguing but within reason. The film is mercifully well paced and to the point and the repartee between the characters is informative but kept to a minimum so the dialogue is palatable.

4 stars on the Prime scale
A relatively low budget, but well done possession film.

Sigh, another predictable ending
To quote River Song - "Spoilers!" It was a good movie until the last couple of minutes. Not only was it predictable the moment his wife walked into the shot, it was all too typical of today's horror movies. Is it really so hard to have a horror movie where the protagonist actually wins? Now, THAT would be original.

Stilted but passable
The ending is clunky at best and the big twist in the last scene is obvious and only made worse for how badly the lead delivers it. The only actor who feels genuine is the over the top catholic guilted mother who spends so much time yelling about sin you think she was on loan from Stephen King.

Not bad, but ending very predictable
The story was decent, the acting was much better than what I've seen in a lot of indie flicks. Film did a good job of maintaining intrigue, however, the ending was super easy to predict.

could have been done better, but, hey....
Concept is sound - execution ok - but too many tropes which made the outcome wholly predictable. i kept saying to myself "you idiot - don't let her down there!" but nooooo .. oh, wait, the character can't hear me, can he.

Not bad, not great
It's better than a lot of the trash on here. The concept is novel if a bit convoluted. The ending was kind of foreshadowed quite a bit. If you're a horror fan, it's worth a watch.
