It is applied with a brush that is submerged in the bottle and is attached to the lid/cover. Very convenient. I find it much easier to apply than using the pads.

Will this work with external catheters?

It is only for the tape used to secure the catheter to the skin

Does the Skin Tac liquid come with an applicator?

Skin tac comes in at least 2 ways that I know of. One is a small presoaked pad that you rub on, yourself. The other is a roll on, which your fingers do not have to touch. I strongly recommend the latter, because the material is VERY sticky And unpleasant to the touch.

how many applications from 4oz bottle?

Depending on what it’s being used for, a 4 oz. bottle will last indefinitely. I purchased mine in March and was using it daily to secure my colostomy skin wafers for several weeks while I experienced major leakage issues until I found a new pouching system. After which, I continue to use it with each new appliance application every 4-6 days. Now, at the end of July, I still have 3/4 of the bottle left. Just remember to let it dry a little to the point that it’s rather tacky before applying tapes or other adhesive items. If it’s too wet, you won’t get a good bond.

Perfect ! It really works . We use it to apply the pods to the skin from Omnipod 5 and the sensors libre 2 plus. The lid has like a little applicator with a little cotton ball so you can apply it easily to the skin. We can see that the bottle will last for a long time because you don’t need to use to much of it.

I use Libre sensors and always have issues with them coming off way to early. Tried everything to keep them on including covering the sensors when in shower or water. Someone recommended Skin Tac and it is a game changer! I wipe area with alcohol, let it dry then use the brush to apply the Skin Tac. 30 seconds later I apply sensor and wait about 5 minutes. Then I apply Skin Tac around the sensor, wait 30 seconds and cover it with a waterproof band-aid style sensor cover. The covers are a bit hard to apply yourself but once you figure it out, its a breeze. The cover stays attached for around 10 - 12 days. The sensor remains stuck until I change it. The only down side is the Skin Tac stays sticky for another hour. I tried to wipe around with alcohol pads/ water but cover then starts to release. Its not bad so I just wait it out now. They should either include this or recommend Skin Tac with any sensors.
