12-24VDC, 45RPM Hi-Torque Gear Motor From Molon. Halloween, displays, christmas

Great little motor with plenty of torque. The low amp draw allows me to use a small plugin type power supply. I wired this up as an automatic chicken house door opener and it has plenty of torque to dead lift a couple pounds. Two wire connection means the motor can be wired to run both directions. The housing and gearing appear to be aluminum so it should last for years. The housing also has 4 threaded mounting holes. (One on each corner) My only complaint using it for my project is that the motor will not hold position with any weight on it allowing the door to slowly close. Adding a counterweight solved the problem.

I have been buying some motors this year to make simple Halloween props out of. With a little customizing this motor would work great for a heavy/large crank ghost.I was in search for a motor to use on my Axworthy Flying Ghost Setup. I bought a few cheap 4" plastic pullies from the local hardware store and mounted them around the yard. This motor is a little slow, but gives the ghost a slow eery look.I wish it was faster, but maybe next year I will work on this issue. A bigger pulley would solve this issue.The motor is very quiet without no load, but it does make a rather loud hum when under load. You can easily hear this from 30-40' away. I will admit this takes away from the Flying Ghost, because hear the motor before you see the ghost.I have a variable voltage laptop adapter hooked to the motor.Its currently running at 24v volts and is VERY torque for such a small motor.Next year I will be in search for a faster and quieter motor, but for the price I am VERY happy.

Clipped the end connector off to meet my project needs then hooked it up to the power source, Motor heats up but does not work. I verified voltage ant the motor terminals and the gears turn manually. Bad motor I'm guessing.

Decent speed, for what's it's worth - good torque too.. My only problem was the line pulling off the pulleys when loaded. Not the fault of the motor, but a real trick for this kind of treat..

bought this for a project I was working on, it worked. I didn't use it that long (maybe about a week) so I can't really give a full review on this product, but while I used it, it worked great.

Perfect motor for any prop project. Bigger than I thought and that's good. the rpm on it is perfect for what I needed it for. But I also have a speed controller for it as well to adjust speed if needed. You will want to purchase the controller as it will come in handy. They are easy to hook up. You will enjoy this Motor!
