Q: Why is the full alphabet not displayed on the mat and instead letters repeated? There is enough room on the mat to have designed every letter.

The mat has the alphabet repeated on both sides, but it’s not in order. See my image in reviews. It looks like it was designed to be tall and slim so they repeated the print twice.

Q: I received this as a gift and after less than a week it ripped with normal use from my 8 month old. Any suggestions for repair or how to contact co?

I have used mine with two litters of puppies. Other than the gnawing on the corners it has held up well. I would contact the manufacturer.
