I like this color treatment. I used to use the pro stuff that the salons use. After reading up on all the toxic crud in these coloring agents, this one came up on Environmental Working Group's website as a safer alternative than some of the others. So while not being benign it does use less toxic ingredients. That being said it is easy to use and they give you everything you need including a set of gloves. They give you a ton of conditioner too. The color is good, like any hair color the longer you leave it, the darker it gets. It will quickly lighten up in the following 4-5 days after coloring. Always the balance is trying to get the gray hair to take the color while not letting the rest of your hair go too dark. I prefer to leave it on a shorter amount of time like, apply and then let sit for 15 minutes. I like the shorter time because it won't get too dark and if it leaves some gray I am ok as it makes my hair look more natural with some lighter and darker shades and a little gray. If you leave it in for 45 minutes even with this darkest blond you will look like elvis LOL, literally shoe polish black almost. I am guessing most people will probably go for 20-30minutes. My natural color is light to medium brown. After two weeks with this color my hair is usually light brown with some blond highlights and gray highlights. That is what works for me. More time in direct sun will lighten it pretty fast. If you are trying to stay consistent you will need to apply once a month. I typically let it go to 6 weeks.

I like this color the best, and leaves my hair feeing softer, silkier and shinier than salon color. Yes, I'm a hairdresser.

I recently had the medium/dark brown color in my hair lifted at the salon so that I could go lighter. I had the salon use 6 (light brown) after the dark had been lifted. The result was still very brassy. So, I looked online and saw that color 6A (light ash brown) could tone down the brassiness. And it did somewhat (my old brand) (although still quite brassy). And it didn’t cover my gray roots much even though I left it on the roots longer than the rest of the hair, as advised in the instructions. In fact, as my roots grew out, I could barely tell the difference between the new gray roots and the previously colored gray roots. I then bought L’Oreal 6UA, ultra ash light brown with brassiness control. I followed the instructions except after I finished applying to the roots (taking about 10 minutes) I left it on my roots an extra 8 minutes before applying all over for 30 minutes. So overall, my roots got 48 minutes. The brassiness was helped, but the gray roots were dull and didn’t match the rest of my hair. So, I called L’Oreal (excellent customer service) and asked their advice. We settled on me getting L’Oreal Excellence 6 and leaving it on the roots longer and running through the rest of the hair just 5 minutes. That worked really well. So now this is my go to color!!

Wish guys wld grasp yes u can use ths for your hair too!!!! Now im hoping i get to buy a diff color as I m currently trying to talk my brother into dying his hair like daemon targaryan cuz he looks identical to dude haha 😄 😅 if I get to get the other color an do his head ill def update u haha 🐉 🐲

I LOVE this hair color. It's so easy to apply and it covers the grey in my hair back to light brown. I do have to color my hair more often than I used to but I'm older and my grey comes back through a lot quicker now. The color is simple to mix up and after an easy application you just wash it out and condition it with the products included in the box. I'm having trouble finding my color at my local store but it's always available on Amazon. I highly recommend this hair color if you do color your own hair.

Used to have some shininess and luminous coloring. This time the color was dull, and I would never use it again.

I purchased two L’Oréal Paris Excellence hair dyes at the same time in two different shades: 6.11 and 6. The shade 6 arrived later, so I decided to use the darker shade 6.11 first. I followed all the instructions in the box, including washing my hair with the shampoo provided. However, after rinsing and drying, my hair remained grey and the dye did not give the expected coverage/result. I’m very disappointed, especially given the advertising and the results shown on the packaging.
