HD600/4 - JL Audio 4-Channel 600W HD Amplifier (Manufacturer Refurbished)

I already sent it in one time for repair and as soon as I have the system setup and ready, I truen it up to a fairly loud level, and it starts making a hiss or almost pink noise sound out of one speaker, and then all 4 front channels may this sound. So now I have to send it in again.Just not reliable and thinking I paid $800 for this about a year ago makes me wish I had gone with a different amp. No doubt JL makes good gear, but that doesn't stop them from making bad gear...apparently!*First time I sent it in, the repair estimate was 7-10 days, and I get it, its business days. Well it was a month plus a week from the day they recevied the amp until I received it. Only time it went fast is after they took my $180 for the repair, and sent it back to me.Yes, I pretty disappointed.So, I did read around and it looks like these amps have some voltage issue, or something that throws them off.I have to say, when it is working it is working great! But if you plan to use another sub or added channel amp, or you have a complex setup, as I have a DSP and an additional amp, it just does weird and unexpected things. It was over a month with no sound, and now I have to either deal with it again or change for another amp. I am looking at the Alpine PDXF6, and even an PPI 4ch for third of the price, and has excellent reviews.
