How Do I Prep Pocket Diapers?

Cloth diaper prep is an initial step that involves running your diapers & inserts through 3- 4 regular wash cycles. This is to help prep your diapers & rinse away any natural oils found on fabrics, opening up fibres to ensure adequate absorbency.

How Many Pocket Diapers Do I Need?

For newborns, we recommend a stash of 24-36 cloth diapers. Each diaper will come with its own insert. For toddlers, we would recommend a stash of 14 to 24 cloth diapers, again with an extra pack or two of inserts.

What insert size should I use?

inserts & Prefold size should measure at 13” by 5” in width, and can be used in both our baby pocket and cover diapers. These are great for everyday use. Inserts can be used individually, or can be doubled up for heavy wetter’s or for overnight use.

What types of inserts can I use?

Make sure the insert/pre-fold size measures at 13” by 5” to best fit the pocket diapers. Noras sells Inserts, Pre-folds, Charcoal Inserts, and Hemp Pre-folds all measuring at 13” by 5”.

Good... For the first months.

Leaks have caused me a lot of grief with all my 28 Nora's Nursery nappies. Within only 3 months of use on a reasonable wash routine, the PUL around the legs is always damp and leakage in the same area occurs in less than 1hr with the bamboo inserts. I'm hoping it's only a problem with towel absorbency, because no refund is available for failing PUL unless washing on ridiculously low temp for less than 120 days. Very disappointing.As I still seek to solve the problem, I give the brand 2 stars as I've been reluctant to do 2 wash cycles per load and invest even more money into laundry products... but the trouble this has put me through feels like 1 at best.
