NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Slide On Pencil, Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil - Jewel

I can't answer if this is quality as far as how long it will stay on during the day, and hold it's pigment. However, this is the first time I am branching out from high end cosmetics, I heard good things about NYX. I received this and tried it immediately. It was just a pencil (not gel or liquid) so I assumed it would go on dry and tough. WOW WAS I WRONG. This glided like butter, like my high end pencils. I took it a step further and did my eyelid completely, testing it for coverage, how fast the tip wore down, etc....you can MOST DEFINATELY use this as an eyeshadow too, and it took me 2 seconds to cover that much area because it goes on so smoothly! its that smooth. And the point of this pencil was still there completely when i was done....not even a hint of wear down. the color was soooo accurate and beautiful (gunmetal) that I was once again surprised. So i can use this for liner, or shadow. And not spend $20-$30 on colored pencils. Puts Urban Decay, MAC, and Lancome to the test easily in quality. However, how long it will stay on, and rich, is as you know, SUPER IMPORTANT! So, As far as sustainablility, THAT i can not answer yet. But im very very very happy with it! Will update once i have used it all day as far as the sustainability question.

I use this in my lower waterline with NYX CHOCOLATE BROWN on my upper lid. This stays in my waterline all day. It is such a pretty cool grey and doesn’t look too harsh on my mature 46 year old eyes. I tried it on top of my upper lashes because I love the color, but it doesn’t stay there all day like the liquid liner from NYX liquid liner looks too flat and harsh in my waterline so the combo is perfect

The coverage lasts pretty long — by hour six, it’s fading just a little bit. It smudges but in the way it needs to. You need that to be able to work with your waterline, but.... It stays in place and doesn’t smudge everywhere! I love that! Also, the white is super vibrant and I’m happy with the density of the color and application. The only downside I see with this is that I wish I could go a whole day without having to reapply. But then again, that also benefits the ability to take it off pretty easily. Totally would recommend!

I bought this because I didn’t want to spend so much on the Urban Decay version. It’s a good dupe and I actually like it better. Like the UD one, it goes on very easy but I noticed that with both of them, they become a little more difficult to use after you have to sharpen it. It doesn’t seem as smooth. It seems to stay on very well and I don’t notice it moving around much. I use it only on my waterline/lower lash line so sometimes it disappears a bit but not terribly. It is very difficult to wash off but I don’t mind; I rather that than having to reapply it constantly because it’s so easily removable. Safe to say I will be buying this over the UD pencil and not just because of the price.

Best drug store pencil ever. I wear a lot of eye makeup. I’ve finally found an eyeliner that stays on all day. I wear contacts and put drops in my eyes several times a day. The eyeliner stays put!! Why are people saying you can’t sharpen it?! It’s NOT a retractable eyeliner. You CAN sharpen it. It looks plastic but you can sharpen it. I use the NYX sharpener and it’s great. It’s a soft pencil so if you use it daily you’ll need to sharpen often if you like a sharp point. If you prefer a smudgier look you can use it more dull. The pigment is great. Nice and black. And for the people that say they can’t remove it, IT’S WATERPROOF. You need to use a makeup remover to take it off. Common sense. Buy it. It’s great.

The lid on this was almost impossible to get off. I finally got it off but I ended up breaking the tip of the liner. Thankfully it was easy to sharpen unlike the other eyeliner pencil I've purchased from NYX. It does stay on pretty good but it has smudged by the end of the day a couple of times. It did apply easily which was a plus. I don't care for the color I purchased (sunrise blue). I'm not sure if I'll try it again with a different color, hopefully the lid will come off easier if I do.

I am a HUGE fan of this product! I am always looking for quality makeup that is not at a super HIGH price. I have tried another NYX eye liner that is very dry and doesn't go on easily. I tried this one and really like it! This color is a perfect dark brown. It is the perfect shade for me! I don't think it smears too much, but all eyeliners tend to "leak" on me so I have to touch up around my eyes during the day. This is no better or worse than others I use for staying in place. Bottom line, great eyeliner that competes with top brands (Urban Decay, Bare Escentuals) for a much more reasonable price! I highly recommend this product and LOVE this color! I use it almost daily!

First off all I have to say is that I love NYX to death! Ive always bought this brand and the reason why is because their makeup is quality for the price! I have boughten a lot of eyeliners that either smudge or do not go on at all; but NYX eyeliners always seem to impress me with the boldness in color and the fact that it stays on for a good amount of time. This eyeliner goes on super bold and you can see the color from a good distance. One thing I love about this eyeliner is that it does not smudge and last forever. The pencil last for a good amount of time, but does need to be sharpened after ever couple of uses. I had bought the white eyeliner, but I would recommend any of the makeup products from NYX, I am a big fan if you cant tell already!
