1994 Japan Director Toshiki Sato Two men, one old, one young, swap erotic stories in a coffee shop. A minor masterpiece of Japanese cinema, based on the well known myth of furtive gropers on rush hour commuter trains in Tokyo. Review: The opening scenes of this movie capture the unique Japanese outlook on eroticism with a portrayal of the infamous 'Commuter Groupers'. We see the lead character involved in a close encounter on the subway and then reflects on these events in a coffee bar. It is here that he meets a like-minded male and they both share their experiences before riding around 'tandem' on a motorbike. Although only 58 minutes, the film is wonderfully directed and with a subtle twist at the end to make the whole thing worth viewing again and again. If you missed it's screening on Channel Four, then buy it now.
