Ooooh, these are nice.....
I'm a fan of cheap readers, they're going to break anyway, so why spend more than $5 for a pair? Well...... after realizing that my cheapness sometimes led to me looking like I was wearing glasses that I'd swiped from a Lost and Found Box, I started looking for some nice readers with a little personality that was more suited to me. These were the result, and while I balked a bit at paying so much (for me), they are high quality, sturdy metal with REAL glass lenses, and the difference in sharpness of vision startled me. A nice surprise was the heavy duty wood (appearance) case that came with a polishing cloth. Very classy, sweet glasses and getting compliments all around for them.

Reading glasses work, style doesn't.
These are reallllly small and close together, which is what I don't like about them. The ear piece goes back a bit and then gets wide to fit an adult face. But if you look straight on, they look like they were made for a baby's face. And then the nose piece sticks out from the face and that is weird as well. I think someone really wanted to design something "different" rather than stick to a normal pair of glasses and they are kind of funky. But they serve the purpose, even if they do look weird. It is hard to find round glasses, everyone seems to be on the rectangular bandwagon that everyone has been on for the past ten years. Before Harry Potter, they were John Lennon specs, and before that, they were Granny Glasses. It is just a simple basic design which is what makes it appealing. However, they sort of missed the bus on this one.

Not good for me
I DO like the small lenses. They came with a case I would rather not have paid for because it's not practical for me. As for the cleaning cloth, I continue to use paper towels as always. Bottom line, I don't see much difference between these and the dollar store glasses I normally use for up-close work and reading except that these are pretty funny looking in a way not evidenced in the photos. To be fair, the quality does seem slightly better, but only slightly. Mine are black and strangely, one of the hinge screws is bright silver. Never painted. That hinge is quite loose, especially compared to the other. Did I get a used or defective pair? The world may never know, but I DO know that they dent my nose in the position they inevitably slide themselves into. I've had them about a week. Lesson learned. Replacements of a different type (sadly with larger lenses) are due to arrive tomorrow.

For little people/kids
The size of these glasses are that of little people, or elfs. Truly wanted to get them for the season as a pair of functional readers but they are small to the point I think a kid might stretch them. If you have any kind of melon head, big head, or just a large individual forget these not worth the price, and if you want them for Santa gig forget it very disappointed in these and will probably send back as they are that small and unwearable.

Great period looking glasses that are functional and a great ...
I do reenacting and was looking for a pair of period looking reading glasses. These greatly exceeded my expectations! Great period looking glasses that are functional and a great price. I now have a few of my fellow reenactors wanting me to purchase some for them.

Too small for my face
I looked hard for some "rounds" that didn't look like Harry Potter and hoped that these would be it - but unfortunately they are too small. The lenses themselves are not really too small, however the width of the frame is not bit enough for my face and not amount of bending was able to make it better. Sadly, still looking for the right ones. The glasses did arrive on time, are built sturdy, and came with a nice case.

Glasses came in a nice hard case
First of all, delivery was quick and packaged well. Glasses came in a nice hard case.Now...I guess I will never learn to read reviews prior to making purchase. I like the style and the magnification is good. However, as had already been noted in prior reviews, the bridge juts out too far - looks like a small handle - which would be ok to take on and off if the glasses were not so small that they are so tight around my head (and I do not have a large head). I was afraid to try and bend the arms out - there is little or no give - for fear they would snap right off. . Tried bending at the bridge, but not much give.Seller should inform people before they buy these that they will only fit a small child

Nice, but...
Due to the angle of the photograph, you cannot see that the bridge over the nose juts way out (~half inch). Maybe it's a handle, I don't know. If you wear them as if they were a regular pair of glasses, the frame goes above the eyebrow. They look a bit goofy, unless you slide them down your nose as if they were half-readers. The quality of the frames and lenses are far superior to department store glasses, but there's that goofy-factor in the nose bridge and frames above the eyebrows. They're fine if no one sees you.
