Kohler K-22976-VS Crue Kitchen Sink Faucet, Vibrant Stainless

Being that this is a Kohler, I was expecting to get a quality full metal faucet. Maybe I missed it, but I could find nowhere in the description that states otherwise. When it arrived, I could immediately tell that significant portions of the faucet ... the pullout spout, the top lever, and the deck plate that covers the extra holes, are made of plastic coated w/ a stainless colored finish. This is what I read in the specs: " Premium metal construction for durability and reliability." It also states , in at least 2 locations in the listing, that the metal was brass ...no mention that plastic is also used in some heavily used parts. Had I known this, I would not have bought this faucet. It may look pretty, but it's cheaply made and worse, there is no way for a buyer to know what they are getting until it arrives. I don't like being deceived and for this alone, Kohler has lost my business.

This faucet has a gentle spray that doesn't splash all over. It's not too tall for a pull out sprayer. Kohler quality. This was a replacement for a faucet that was too tall.

Lasted exactly 4 years until the handle broke upon which I saw it was made up of cheap materials. This product selling at a premium price gives the impression it is of high quality which is very misleading. Would not recommend at all.

#1 Instructions tell you for a 3 hole sink to "discard the circular foam" in the putty plate, but it's not circular, it is glued in with adhesive, so I am thinking this can't be correct, where is it? Well after prying the foam out of the plate I see the adhesive wasn't strong, but why use the word "discard" instead of "remove attached foam from putty plate." #2 The spout came already inserted in the faucet, but instructions say, "Insert faucet (into the sink hole)" and next, "install and align the spout." It came inserted. Should I remove it from the faucet, insert the faucet, then re-install the spout? Who knows. #3 "Slide the weight over the sprayhead hose and use the zip tie to hold it in place". Wrong. Too small of a hole to slide it, you have to disassemble the weight, THEN place it on the hose, and screw it together. No zip tie was included, and it was difficult as hell to get the screws aligned. Oh and I left a review on the Kohler web site and they deleted it.

The dimensions are in the description but it was still a lot smaller than I expected it to be. If you have a larger kitchen sink it’s going to look dumb. They should have made it bigger.
