Works Fine For Me
I have to keep in mind that apparently this quality is what you get for the money. It is plastic of course. It is the least expensive one i could find.I bought one and assumed i would have to modify it to make it work with my D'link 5222L camera. First, before buying it i went to the manufacturer website so I would not order one too small for my D'link DCS 5222L. (The other reviewer on amazon has low stars as they rated it for not fitting the camera. They say it will not fit most Pan/Tilt. They could have researched all measurements before buying it. I feel this is not fair to who ever sells these as it works with the d'link.) Any way, It seemed as if it would fit so i bought one. As it is made for a specific camera and it says so on the website and I did not have that type, i had to drill holes in the mounting plate of my DCS 5222L. i then mounted it, but first i used 1/2" long plastic tube spacers to fit around a 5/8" long screw that i had to supply. The reason for the spacers is that my d'link camera, mounted inside this sat too low & was blocked by an obscure section of the dome. For some reason they did not make the dome clear entirely but from dome mounting screws to halfway up it is obscure. I assume this is not a problem if using the camera that it was meant for. By shimming it up 1/2" i can just see out level and down everywhere. Also one other note. I have camera mounted up about 9ft in the air.I would suggest that you be mechanically inclined as the screw holes and shafts that the mounting plate screws screw into are thin and would easily strip out.I have not checked it for weather proof, I may need to tape the joint as it does not have a gasket. One other thing, I had to file the cover and my network hardwire plug plastic to allow the cover to mount. Make sure you check this before modification as i mounted it to be centered first and found there is not enough room for the ethernet plug. Antenna will not mount so i hard wired it. You cannot use this wirelessly as an antenna will not fit with dome in place. I think i could get an external one to fit with a little more modification.

Can't find a camera to fit
The good news - item would make a nice enclosure for a camera. A rubber gasket around the dome would be a nice addition. The bad news - This device is so small there is no way an average pan tilt camera will fit, even if you don't attach the wireless antenna.

and it's virtually useless with night vision cameras since the infrared LEDs reflect ...
Took a long time to get it since it ships directly from China, and it's virtually useless with night vision cameras since the infrared LEDs reflect back off the inside of the plastic casing and blind the camera.

Works perfect for DCS-5222LB
Good quality for price. Works perfect for D link camera, just have to pop antenna down and fits perfect. Easy setup and protects my cameras. Purchased 4 already.

May be better options for pan tilt network cameras, tight fit.
I didn't read an earlier review stating the housing doesn't fit a common pan tilt network camera before I bought it. My Foscam F18608w camera would not fit inside without some modifications to the mounting plate it comes with. With some cutting off parts, I was able to get it to fit, only can't see straight out with upper frosted lens but since my mounting position is 2 stories high, I angle down which works. Maybe a better housing but I'm stuck with this one.

Does not meet my expectation.
Plastic is sheep and it reflect night vision. That should be tell in the description. I will have to cut the clear glass for me to work.
