Armitron Sport Men's 40/8301 Digital Chronograph Resin Strap Watch

I bought this watch to take on a cruise where we would be going into the water a lot and needed to keep track of time to make sure we were back on the ship in time. It went in salt water several times and worked great. I tried to rinse it off in fresh water each time. The big display was nice since I am 40+ and can't focus up close as well as I use to. The back light worked well in the dark. The markings for the four buttons are a little cryptic and I would often have to try a few buttons before I got to the right one. It fit fine and I used the 2nd to last hole on the band (fairly large wrists.... adult male).Edit: Follow up a year later. I only use this watch when I plan to be in the water a lot. I took it to Hawaii this summer and it saw ocean water many times for up to 45 minutes at a time (snorkeling). No leaks and the battery is still fine. For the price ($16.19 when I bought it), it is a great watch for taking in water.

The main button used to set the time stopped working less than 5 months after purchase.I called Armitron customer support and they said the only thing they warranty is the inner movement of the watch, and advised me to call their repair center in PA at 215-676-3729. I called that number and got someone at the watch repair business in PA, called Louis-Neil Watchmakers.He said that I would need to ship the watch to them, along with $9.95 for return shipping. I said that "...would essentially mean spending $20 on shipping back and forth for a $25 watch that should be replaced, it would be lest expensive to buy a different watch?" to which he literally responded, "Whatever."Good luck...

This watch is not high quality like the G-Shock which to be expected for the price you are paying but that doesn't make it a bad watch.Pros:Very comfortable to wear.Easy to set it up.Looks great.Comes with all the usual features that you find in the G-Shock.Size is Okay.Cons:Mediocre night light display.The color paint around the watch dial gets scratched easily so you have to be really careful when wearing it.Definitely not for the gym or intense cardio workouts.Packaging is poor.You can only wear it in the office or when waking around in a mall, just for style/casual use due to it's material quality.

Love this watch. I look down at my wrist and I can't believe how little I paid. vs. how good it looks.If you peruse the Armitron watches here on Amazon, many of them have near perfect 4.5 to 5 star ratings. People love these watches! DIgital watches are definitely making a comeback. And most of the prices are under $25. I've bought a few of these Armitrons recently, and this one is at the top of my list.Highly recommended!

This is an excellent watch for the money. It has everything you will need in a watch: date, time, day, alarm, timer, chime, back-light. For anyone wondering about the back-light color, it is a nice bright blue. Love this watch.

For the most part, I like it but there's one part I'm unhappy with. For the day of the week, they print out all the days and you tell what day it is by that day being the one in seven being blacked out. Wouldn't it be better and easier to use all that space to simply print just the current day nice and large?

I am very happy with my watch( and yes I am wearing my watch as I write this ) what can I say, it's everything I wanted and looks exactly like the picture and video shown of this watch. I opened the box and the time and date were already set for me which I really liked and was impressed by. I love this watch feels and looks great at an even better price. Thank you.

I replaced the last one after 2 years... band usually goes by then... it matches well with blue gym outfits!
