What is the weight limit? Are the rings metal or plastic?

Hi Justin,We recommend 300 pounds, although testing is higher. The handles are a combination of injected PE plastic and metal. There is a metal insert embedded in the plastic eye, as a reinforcement that enables the ring for higher loading than your traditional all plastic triangle trapeze handles. We have provided a diagram on the Listing which helps to provide you more details. Please find this diagram as an image (ie. Picture on left) we have added to help with clarification.Thank you,Jungle Gym Kingdom

Anyone had issues with rusting?

It is coated with plastic except for he very top of the chains (as pictured). We haven't had a rust problem so far.

Can the trapeze bar be taken on and off so the rings can be used independently from each other and not fixed? I would like that option, if possible.

Hello Eggroll,It is not designed to have separate rings.Thank you,Jungle Gym Kingdom

Hi, just got this and it's much heavier than I expected--I'm a bit worried somebody will get hurt if it hits them. Anybody had trouble with this?

Kids might get get hurt… however it is a part of learning and they heal fast

Chains are not 48”

I specifically paid extra for this product as opposed to a very similar listing that has shorter chains (only the yellow coated portion seen in pictures) because I wanted the full 48” as described in this listing. Lo and behold, when the package arrived today, the trapeze only had the yellow portion of the chains and sits far too high off the ground. This is dangerous and frustrating for both me and my kids who cannot reach the rings without jumping or climbing on a step stool. I would like a replacement product with the correct length chains sent right away.
