Why are the magnets exposed. Im afraid a toddler could bite them off

They're pretty sturdy, my toddler hasn't gotten any off, but them being exposed also helps her know where to connect the pieces

How is this packed please? Is it suitable as a gift? Does it include a box which the pieces can be stored in?

I would, it’s perfect for a gift. I just gifted it to my niece. It does include its own storage box to store all the pieces in.

Square letters came with my grandson's set that fit into the tiles. Is there any way to get more letters?

I’m not sure. Mine didn’t come with letters..
