This unit is really worth the money? The unit and accessories was made well. I put it together except for the electrical panel work. Make sure you have room for a 30 amp and one 50 amp breaker. I tried running it using a 20amp breaker. Breaker tripped using it for less than a minute. You must have at least a 30 amp breaker when running it on 115 volts and a 50 amp breaker running it on ~240 volts. And, to answer my question. Yes, it’s worth every penny.

I really thought this was going to be a nice welder based on reviews and the specs. The welder seemed to be good quality, and had some weight to it. The wire feed is all metal, the cables were pretty good quality and the length was good, and the power cable is a 220v with a 120v adapter instead of 120v to 220v adapter. However, when I tried to install the MIG torch, it would not get tight. It turns out the threads bottom out against the cover. So I tried to adjust the wire feed assembly forwards as much as it could go and it still wasn’t enough. The only way I could get it tight was to remove the cover where the MIG torch attaches to the feed assembly. During this adjustment, I noticed the ground lug attached to the feed assembly was stamped 150 amps. That’s when I decided to return the welder.The other thing I noticed was what the manual stated about the maximum amperage. The manual shows a graph of the duty cycle and it maxes out at 200 amps. While I didn’t and couldn’t test the amperage, the lug and the manual contradict the advertised amperage rating, and there didn’t seem to be any quality control so who knows what else was wrong.

Recently purchased the 250A mig . Have not had a chance to use it yet . Edit I have tried to use it several times now , second time cooling fan quit working noticed that it looked punched in from shipping maybe . Then it stopped welding all together. Very surprised. Had high hopes for it.

Four stars what? It would have five but the tip was screwed in about ten times harder than needed be.As to all reviews that are very negative.As you install torch lift it up and tighten then lower and do it again several times/no power just push the buttons until it right and you will have power/up and down feed of wire left big knob , right hand knob is more power and will change feed a little.now make sure you are onto 30 amp braker wether 110 or 220.In the pics weld self shielding wire was just scaped not brushed /wire tension was not changed /tip was .Also put gas to it been holding pressure for three hours /did not use gas on weld.great assortment of feed wheels . burn back was 3/8" from tipNow this was not first welder ,I have burned several tons of rod and wire.SO TAKE YOUR TIME TO LEARN TO WED IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME/76 YEARS OLD

Bought in March of '26. Halfway through the second spool of wire, the feeder died. No warning, just dead feeder - and no parts list, no company website, no support, just dead machine.
