Decent Game Fiction Supporting The Stormcast Eternals
War Storm focuses on the Stormcast Eternals and their war against Chaos. It's composed of three stories; each one is approximately 100 pages. They're well written, but not long enough to add depth to the characters. Each story sets up an epic battle, then shows you how the battle was won. The battles are visceral and well described. Unfortunately, there isn't much room for any character development in these books because they are so short. So as a novel, War Storm isn't very good. If you just want some Stormcast Eternal game fiction to further immerse yourself into The Age of Sigmar, then you should enjoy this book. The stories are written by Black Library Veterans: Nick Kyme, Guy Haley, and Josh Reynolds. If you like their writing styles, then you should enjoy these books for what they are.If you aren't familiar with the forces of Chaos or the Stormcast Eternals, you may have to do some research on the actual units: the rotguard, Liberators, Retributors, Prosecutors, etc... if you want to visualize the battles.

Good start
Action packed, decent character building (Old World had better characters of course). This is a great follow up to the first book, easy to read, hard to put down.

This book is so bad. If you were thinking about starting this series, just skip this one. It is just non-stop meaningless fighting.

An Epic Struggle Between Order and Chaos
This book continues the story of the Stormcast Eternals war to reclaim the land from the forces of chaos. It helps to read The Gates of Azyr first since the story picks up where that story left off. This book is broken up into three separate stories written by three separate authors with the last one being the best. The first story deals with the clash between Vandus Hammerhand and his arch nemesis Khorgus Khul. As it turns out Hammerhand arrives right as Khul is about to complete his life's work; building a massive pyramid of skulls so that he can achieve demon hood. All he needs is one last skull of a hero. How convenient that Vandus just happens to show up. In the second two stories the Stormcast are trying to claim the Ghyrtract Fen from the followers of Nurgle as well as find an elusive ally. This book is full of action and while players of War Hammer Age of Sigmar will be the most interested in it since it give their games background, anyone who enjoys fantasy would enjoy these books.

A good effort to get the Age of Sigmar started, but not perfect.
This collection of 3 short novella's introduces us to some of the other Stormcast Chambers as well as some of the other factions involved at the start of the Realmgate wars.Taken as a collection, they work well enough to ground us in the (at the time) fledgling setting, however, I struggled to remain interested in the last story in the collection, hence the 3 star review, it was difficult to read and stay involved with the story, mostly in my case due to the fact that the story involved Tzeentch and thus some weirdness makes it hard to stay focused in the story, at least for me.Well worth reading as part of the overall Realmgate War saga though, especially as that Tzeentch story leads into the focus of the next volume....
