They are durable I only used one drill bit and one circular cutter the whole project
Worked great to remove welded frame parts

Pleasantly surprised!
I was actually a bit shocked by these. I don't usually deal with a lot of spot welds and in the past I've just ground down the 1 or 2 needed for the task at hand. However, I decided to do the rockers on my plow truck and figured for $30 bucks i'd give it a shot. Wow...just wow. 50-60 spot welds with a single bit--I was shocked. Best 30 bucks I've spent in a while. 30-45 minutes to knock out 50+ spot welds was actually pretty impressive and certainly better than grinding them down for hours.

Exactly what I needed.
These work great. Slow and steady, I drilled probably ten welds before one tooth broke and I had to flip the cutting bit. Initially drilled small pilot holes to guide the bit, but a couple taps of a center punch was enough. Once it bites and makes a small ring, it will stay steady. I went a little deep on one spot, but most of them came out flush. Drill a bit, try to pry, rinse and repeat until the top panel pops off, then just grind the nubs.

Surprisingly really good
Definitely pre drill a pilot hole so the bit doesn’t walk but overall very good spot weld cutters. I have cut 42 spot welds with one side of one bit so far no issues!

Cuts through factory spot welds effortlessly—clean results!
If you're doing automotive bodywork or panel replacement, this spot weld cutter set is a must-have tool. It saves an immense amount of time and prevents you from warping or damaging the underlying sheet metal. • Effortless Spot Weld Removal: The specialized cutter heads trace right around the factory spot welds, allowing you to pop panels apart cleanly without having to grind for hours. • Double-Sided Blades: The cutting teeth are sharp and durable. Having double-sided rotary blades is incredibly convenient because when one side finally dulls, you can just flip it around and keep working. • Center Pilot Pin: The spring-loaded centering pin acts as a perfect guide, keeping the cutter firmly in place so it doesn't wander or scuff up the surrounding sheet metal. • Complete Kit Value: The set comes with plenty of replacement pins and extra cutter heads, ensuring you have enough fresh edges to complete a large project or multiple panel replacements. • Universal 1/4" Shank: The standard hex shank fits perfectly into common hand drills and air drills, locking securely into place with no slipping under heavy high-RPM torque.

Amazingly useful if you are restoring a car
Super valuable tool if you have any need for dealing with spot welds. In my case I was installing some patches for rust repair on a 72 Chevelle and needed to release the spot welds on the lower rear quarter panel. One caveat: I was way too aggressive with the tool the first time I used it. The cutters are SHARP and will eat right through both sides of the spot welded metal. It was so easy I thought that was what it was supposed to do, but then I realized the ideal use is to cut from the side you expect to discard to the side you expect to keep, and then only let the cutter penetrate the first sheet of metal. That way you are left with “meat” on the keeper side. I bored right through my first several and ended up with the 3/8 inch holes to fill. Second: a center punch or small pilot drill bit is a must have. The cutter wanders without a pilot hole. All in all a great purchase and looks durable.

Why have I never tried one of these!!
Ok, I never review anything. This thing is legit, took me 30 mins and one side of one cutting bit (70 spot welds) to remove the remaining spot welded strip for the pan halve on a VW pan. Don't think twice about giving this a try, you will not be disappointed.

I NEVER write reviews but WOW
I was working on a 1970 GM A body restoration and had a TON of spot welds to drill out. I had purchased similar items from Harbor Freight, but they wore out fast and were about 5 bucks per cutting head. I found this product on amazon expecting to get the same quality as what I found at harbor freight. However... I have yet to replace the cutting head.... I was able to drill out an estimated 80-100 spot welds before I got the feeling the cutting head was starting to dull, but it still cuts! Anyone who is saying this is junk may not be using it right. It definitely helps to use a small 1/4 inch bit to make a pilot for the centering pin to sit in, start the drill on high speed and SLOWLY push into your material until the cutter gets started in a groove, then you can apply as much pressure as you like and go to town. I cut through 18 and 16 gauge with this. at one point I was cutting through 3 layered material which was tough, but got through. 5 stars because I never had to make another trip to harbor freight, and still have my original cutting head on the tool. highly recommend.

Worker perfectly just what I needed.

Works well!
Stayed sharp for a long while (with cutting fluid). Bits cut very fast. I’m still on the first side of the first cutting bit after doing an entire radiator support.

Excellent. Sharp and durable.
I removed a couple hundred spot welds on the bed of my pickup truck. I used only one bit from the set. It’s best if you pilot the centre with a regular drill bit and of course you need lots of elbow grease to cut but they work everytime. I used oil for most of them which may have helped keep the teeth sharp..
