Very wide and large case. Sturdy. Should fit those special designed axes.

I love the design and the case functions perfectly well for general, local use. While I've had no problems, I can't say it feels particularly robust and I'm not sure I would risk using it as a flight case. For what it costs, I wish it felt sturdier.

Of course we all like the coffin shape. However, the hinges and latches are not properly alligned so it takes some twisting to get everything properly latched.Also, came poorly packed and had a huge ding in it so I returned it.Also beware, this thing is HUGE!!!!

Ordered a 300vx for my BC Rich Draco V. It arrived in great shape and fit it perfectly. Looks nice and seems to be well made.

I bought this case back in 2003 or 2004. I carted my bass back and forth to high school practices and gigs several day per week for the first two years I had it, then irregularly after I went to college. Since then, I've moved to Germany and back to the US and had several cross country moves as well as regular practices and church performances (yes, the commentary on the case has been fabulous, it's a great conversation piece in a church environment! ha!). This case has been shipped by international freight with my bass in it, moved in trunks, in trailers, the back of my car, with my kids' crap, you name it. It has survived all of it. My bass has never had ANY damage while in this case. The black outer cover has begun to peel off (courtesy of my 3 year old) and it has some scratches in it, but the wood is as solid as ever, the lock works, the hinges and hooks all line up, and it's 16+ years old. Best $200 I could have spent. Buy it. It's worth it.
