As someone who is often wary about the durability of key fob covers, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and fit of this product. Thank goodness for this product. My 2019 cx-5 key was broken but the circuit board inside was intact. I was able to put my circuit board in and switch the key with the key for my car and it’s as good as new. This saved me so much money!!

I loved the simple replacement for my busted (but working) key fob. Wish I had done it sooner! I did have one issue. My physical car key would not fit inside the housing. My 2010 key has a curve and does not square like the replacement piece is. I also had some difficulty reconnecting to the car, but that was jot the fault of the key fob housing. My fob would trigger the unlock and panic mode, but would not lock the car. I found videos recommending 3x on off, 3x open and close door, and finally press the unlock on the fob 2x. This should have triggered an automatic lock-unlock but it didn't. I made sure all the doors were shut. The battery was still good. I even opened the fob back up to check everything was in the right position. Eventually I did the reset process again, without the lock-unlock response, and simply started the car and locked and unlocked the doors with the inside door lock button. That seem to do the trick. Turned everything off press the lock and unlock on the fob and it worked. Hope this helps someone who might struggle like I did.
