Works for what it is designed to be.So far. I've used it to pick up misc items from my garage floor, such as: whiffle balls, baseballs, softball, 5-page half sized paper manual, empty spring water plastic bottles. It works on the first try in nearly every attempt. Grip and reach are good. Comfort is there. It has an overmolded rubberized grip on the handle, which is what decent power tools tend to feature. It is lightweight and intended to be for light weight objects. I'm sure this could pick up a dropped pill on the floor..... wait, I'll go try it right now.... hold on.... got it easily. It was a capsule, not a round pill. Also got an earplug, cotton ball, folded up bunch (sheets) of paper, a lone bottle cap. So, it works great for these light/small things but heavier things like a shoe... wait a moment.... yes, it picked up one of my tennis shoes no problem. However, a 32 oz bottle of tart cherry juice it would not pick up. Tried twice, wasn't having it. Too heavy. Gripper opened up despite my earnest hand pressure effort trying to squeeze the trigger. Forcing the issue will likely break the tool's cable mechanism. So, you've learned what it can do, what it won't do. If you need a heavier duty grabber tool, search for it on Amazon. I have one in my cart now. Use this grabber tool as intended and you will like it. I got this for my lawncare business to pick up sticks and trash before and during mowing. It's a fairly simple tool, so there's not much to go wrong with it, but the jaws did end up breaking about halfway through the season. Maybe I tried picking up things that were too heavy. On a good note, though, it is very light and fit well on my mower. It was also a good length to be able to reach the ground while still sitting on my zero-turn. It worked fine until it just wore out. In lawncare, these are a fairly disposable tool, so overall I am happy with it for the price. I would not be afraid to buy again in the future.

The best one for the money. they are all a little fragile, this one is built well. I have been using it since back surgery last month (April) it will pick up a dropped pill. Sure, it will wear and get broken somehow but it will last me a while

The photos show the 2 grabbers that I purchased yesterday from Amazon Prime. The Pikstik is an exact replacement for the one I have had for many years now. The folding one I bought from Amazon Prime as well. I drive a mobility scooter and I have had the Pikstik unit secured across the top of the tiller and would perfectly set behind my 2 rear view mirrors and secured with 2 small clips. When I would spot something that would be a road hazard to cars by getting picked up by a moving vehicle and shot into a passing vehicle or a vehicle following it, I would swoop in and grab the object off the street and then place it off the road or if small enough I would toss it into the trash bag that I carry with me. I use the grabber almost every time I take the scooter out for a ride. I also have a 30” extension magnet for the metal objects that I find in the road like lug nuts, screws, nails, construction staples, hubcaps and items that I don’t know what they are. As a retired Army veteran, I used to be a helicopter mechanic and crew chief on Huey’s and unfortunately I was involved in an incident where a piece of metal was picked up and thrown into my tail rotor as the pilot lifted off the tarmac. The object destroyed the tail rotor causing the craft to spin out of control and the pilot had to slam us down HARD which caused horrific damage and injury to the pilot. I was lucky enough to only sustain minor injury. The one BIG rule that was always talked about was F. O. D. (Foreign Object Damage). Any object that is on the ground is a potential hazard to any aircraft so major attention is focused on making sure that no FOD is on the tarmac. The same applies to roads and streets and anywhere that vehicles travel. An object can be picked up by the tread of a vehicle and either right then or maybe later when that vehicle is on the highway or freeway and has enough speed going that the object stuck in the tread of the tire suddenly lets go of it. This object can and does catapult out from the tire and can easily damage a vehicle that happens to be behind them. I have seen objects penetrate through windshields or strike the body of the vehicle causing serious damage/or injury. So in my small town, while out and about I take it upon myself to help remove potentially dangerous objects from the streets in our town. So enough of the FOD stuff. I have always had the Pikstik non folding grabber handy for me to use. So why did I also buy the folding one? Well I sometimes, rarely but sometimes I wished I had 2 grabbers to aid in some of the larger items that I find in the streets. The other day I somehow managed to snap one of the grabber legs off from a branch sticking out of a large bush. I attempted a JB Weld repair with somewhat less than stellar precision and decided to just purchase a new one. So here it is. The Pikstik has a price tag of around $25. The folding one was $10 on a 50% reduced price from $20. The photos show that other than the folding difference the 2 grabbers are identical. I will install the non folding one back where the broken one has been riding for years. The folding one has a little snap clamp that I have installed under the seat of my mobility scooter and I can access it easily when I need a second one to assist with the Pikstik. Both of these grabbers seem to work identically and equally. One $25. The other $9.95. Hummmm. Big difference in the price for what? I’m not sure. But I am sure that I needed to replace the broken one I have with the same. I haven’t used the folding one yet but I can tell that it will probably perform equally as well as the non folding one. My recommendation would be as follows…… Buy both of them and enjoy! I will! Now, I have 2 fur-babies that are ready to go for a ride today in “their” scooter. Hopefully I will try the folding one today. I will be posting this same review on both of the grabbers pages.

Works as expected, it's solidly built, but the grip needs to be very firm, and you have to squeeze VERY hard to close the grabber completely for smaller items. If you use it to pick up several items, like leaves or something in a backyard, you'll be wishing you had gotten something that's not as hard to squeeze.

This is it. This is what everybody needs whether you're lazy or not. As long as it holds up This thing is amazing. a grabber with a 360 degree swivel end plus a magnet is just something that everybody should have. I can't believe I lived my life without one of these but now that I have it I am slightly more complete. If you're looking for something like this this is it you should buy it. The only thing I don't know about it is the longevity so if it breaks I will update this review. Definitely buy this if you're looking to level up your life.

The story is extremely useful when you have hurt your back or have difficulty picking things up from the floor. It looks very sturdy and is very easy to use and the best part is that the price is very reasonable for the quality of the product that you get.
