Safe and Effective
I purchased these as training aids for firearms classes I teach. These are some of the best dummy rounds I have used for shotguns. These cycle the best out of all the ones I use. With that being said they are no where near as reliable as real shells as far as cycling them through a firearm. These are perfect for teaching new shooters how to properly load and unload shotguns while maintaining safety. These will jam every now and then but not as bad as any other dummy rounds I've tried. These typically last me about a year before the wear and tear starts to become problematic. Perfect for practicing those John Wick quad loads when nobody is watching.

Don't waste your money
These things are dog squeeze quality. The brass is very soft and will deform quickly, which causes the shotgun to start jamming. They functioned 100% at first, but that didn't last long at all. The brass will get hammered, mainly by the extractor(s), and start to deform and flatten out. That increases the rim diameter which causes the shells to jam in the mag tube and not get released when the pump is retracted. Then, if a shell does get loaded in the chamber, it will stick and the extractor won't pull it out. The reward for that is a double feed, which is a slow PITA to clear and it will get you killed in a gunfight. As I said, they worked well at first, then my shotgun started jamming left and right. I remembered reading the other reviews and I'm basically confirming what I remembered about these shells' brass deforming. I switched to a brand new 25 round box of live shells and VERY CAREFULLY cycled them. I did it twice for a total of 50 cycles and reliability was back to 100%. Tried these crap dummy shells again and NOPE! In the trash. Not even worth sending back.

Updated Review: Could Not Determine Length - Took A Chance
Update: (7/23/20) As a new shotgun owner, I am still learning. I recently learned that "2 3/4" shells are approximately that length AFTER being shot, not before. Before use, 2 3/4" shells are normally 2 1/4". So, my bad on the length issue in my earlier review! In addition, another factor when selecting dummy rounds is the brass/metal thickness, sometimes causing issues mainly with new semi-auto shotguns. I hope these shells work in my shotgun, I think these snap caps will. I will also watch how much the brass and plastic flakes off during loading, maybe dry fire If too much flaking occurs, I will quickly move to another dummy round. ------------------------------------------ Needed 2 3/4" Dummy Loads, but these are 2 1/4". Some reviews (maybe for a similar product from the same Seller) mentioned 2 3/4" loads. Some questions about length mentioned a Buyer receiving 2 3/4" loads. So I took a chance...nope, 2 1/4". These will not work for me. So, I reordered a different item from the same Seller that stated 2 3/4" was received by multiple Buyers/Reviewers. If 2 1/4" was mentioned in the description for this item, I missed it as have others. A Bullet Item stating the length and weight, right at the top of he listing, would be a good idea. Otherwise, these Dummy Loads look pretty ok to me. But I will never know how they hold up since I cannot use them.
