Lifesavers for saving space on an international move
We're moving to Europe in December and I have to fit all our household goods into a 20' container. Normally, that wouldn't sound like much, but I am a professional historical costumer. I have costumes from the 10th through the 20th century as well as bolts of wool, linen, and silk fabric that I have to pack and ship. If not packed properly, this could account for more volume than our furniture! For space saving, these bags are great. That my entire stock of wool fabric could squeeze down to fit in a single storage bin with space to spare is amazing. And that I squeezed the silk in there too astounds me. The best thing about it is that you can shape the bags as they collapse. I am packing everything in heavy-duty storage bins with wheels and if I fill the bags while they're inside the bins, I can push and form the bags into a shape that fills the bins efficiently. I sometimes put a foot on the bags to guide them. Sometimes I sat on them (being careful not to pop the seal). If I'd filled and shrunk them before I put them in the bins, I couldn't get nearly as many in there. But filling them already in the bins made it possible for me to use the smaller bags to fill up the spaces left by the big ones. They don't save on weight though! These shrunk bags are dense as bricks! But mine are in wheelie bins, so they don't have to be picked up and carried. I highly recommend that you fill them where you intend to store them because the bigger bags will be very heavy and too unwieldy to carry once shrunk.A tip that might help those who are finding their bags leak. I didn't just close them with the plastic zip. I went back over the closure with my thumbs, pressing every millimeter as if my life depended on it. I found that the zip alone closed the bags enough to vacuum the air out, but if you felt the closure, there were tiny bubbles all along the bottom zip. If you get rid of all those bubbles, it's likely your bags won't leak. My bags have been sealed for over two weeks and they are as dense and air-free as when I vacuumed the air out of them.I only wish you could get more of the smallest size (inexplicably called "medium"). They are great to fit in around the other bags. But the other sizes are only Large and Jumbo. I immediately bought two more boxes of the assorted bags and one more of 6 large for the rest of my stock. It's going to be in a container on a ship for 6 weeks. Now I can rest assured that everything will stay clean and dry.

These bags hold a seal and don’t leak!
First, I want to say that I’ve not been compensated or asked by anyone to post this review. It’s of my own free will. After exhaustive research on vacuum bags, reading far too many reviews and making multiple purchases of other similar vacuum storage bags. I found these recommended to me on my Amazon home page. I read all the reviews and was impressed by what other buyers had to say about them and decided since they were on sale anyway, I would take a leap of faith and buy the 12 bag kit to try out. I was prepared to be disappointed like I was with most every other vacuum bag brand before these. I received them promptly and looked forward to trying them out and to make more room in my closets. I used three extra large bags for three of my king size down comforters. I followed the instructions and at first used the included hand pump, which worked fine, but not as fast as I knew it my vacuum cleaner would. I sealed the first bag and tightened the valve cover and then waited and watched for the bag to inflate again or for the tell tale hissing sound of air escaping, indicating I was duped again into buying yet another vacuum storage bag that didn’t work. But, none of that happened! The bag stayed sealed so I tried 2 other bags and again waited for them to start leaking air. To my astonishment, none did! It’s been 1.5 weeks now and all three bags are as flat as they were when I sucked all the air out of them. The space that my three comforters took up before using these space bags was massive. Now, they take up about 9/10th’s of the space, so I’m going to be using these bags for winter storage items too (the largest jumbo bag is massive, like body bag size!) so I’m going to test the quality with winter coats and will post here if they fail to work as intended. Definitely recommend these vacuum bags over ALL the other name brands of which all but one bag out of about 40 FAILED! Not with this brand so far though, so if you’re looking for a reliable vacuum bag that actually doesn’t leak, here they are!

Good concept great convenience
Have been using for a year and so like it but find that close to a third of the bags aren't holding up to repeated use even though not under high stress situations. Am packing to move an putting all my clothes up in these bags and rather then packing them away never to be used have had to go into a few of the bags on a regular bases. Most of the time after use and replaced in bag it rolls back up but again on a few it losses its vacuum seal. There are a few I have my backpacking clothes and other items in that a routinely put in and out of pack daily or weekly and are so far holding up even after having tents tarps cooking items and other clothing packed around them and only one failure. Rather then one large bag with everything break down into sleep clothes socks under clothes midlevel and outer love the clear so I can identify easily which is which. Do carry a few extra bags incase any others give out but overall pleased with them. Jumbos holding my sleeping bags when not in use and seem to do a good job. Keeps moisture out and insects.
