Bought these as a gift for my grandson who is going into culinary like his mother, who is a chef. These are very sharp knives as she actually cut herself just barely touching the edge as she was trying to place them in the case that comes with the set. So yes, very sharp. She does state that the case is somewhat flimsy and not big enough as she could not close the case trying to fit the set inside it, so she will be looking for a better case to contain the set. But she does give the knives a 5 star rating for their quality and beautiful design, the gloves are a good large size and well made. Great purchase for the price.

Great for just starting out or a pro. VERY sharp so keep up high. They are easy to use and have a good handle so it’s easy to grip and comfortable to use. They aren’t very heavy!

Excellent blade and handle quality! So sharp,trying to fold it up when done butchering, it sliced through the cheap case. Highly recommend the Seller to offer a leather case. I sliced my finger pretty well when wrapping! With such good blade quality, gotta make it safer to handle and transport

I don’t think you can find better knives for the price. I was completely surprised by the quality of these. They feel nice in the hand, they are super sharp, they look great, very durable. Not overly thick so they don’t break through veggies instead of cutting. I definitely recommend. My one piece of advice is to wash and dry immediately after use. I haven’t had any problems after about a month now, but after reading some reviews some people mention rust. I have a giant collection of knives ranging in price from $10 to $400, and I wash and dry all immediately after use so no big issue for me.
