Paleontological accuracyIf you want a scary mean looking dinosaur based on the (inaccurate) Jurassic Park movie then this is the model for you, if you're after a model based on science then stay clear.If your bothered... the arms are way way too long and orientated incorrectly, the skull is littered with inaccuracies and the teeth are too few and arranged in a jumbled mess; not neat rows.As a model or a toyWhile not accurate to science; it's defiantly scarier and meaner looking. It's slightly larger than the "standard" 1:40 scale typical of other dinosaurs in the Schlicich / Safari / Collecta ranges making this beastie look all the more terrifying.If you're into re-painting then a little colour (possibly red) on the skull bone crests and perhaps elsewhere on the head would make it meaner still and put some accuracy back into the model.The detail is fantastic from skin texture to moulding that shows off underlying muscle and skeletal structures. Combined with the remarkable standard of paintwork this model really comes to life - especially in natural light. In addition the running pose adds a fantastic dynamic feel to the model, which even stands unsupported (on perfectly flat surfaces).Mine (though it turns out not the entire production line) did have some sloppy paint work around the teeth - though the rest of the model was perfect and the errors are easily fixed with a lick of paint.The movable jaw adds a dimension of variability to display the model as well as adding to playability. While I would argue this model would be wasted on children who are going to knock it about, I find it hard to imagine a kid that wouldn't instantly fall in love with this mean beastie - it certainly reawakened my inner child!

My Papo 55027 "Green Running T-Rex" Figure arrived today and I am very pleased with it. It is so realistic looking and the paint work is amaizing! This is a brilliant gift for any male, young or old. It arrived on time, in perfect condition, at a great price and communication was great. Top marks from Me.

My wife looked it over and asked me how much I'd paid for it. I was very happy to tell her, and her response was "Really? Wow!" (£17.04) The structure and detail in the modeling and paintwork is extremely satisfying. I bought it as reference for some artwork, and it provides everything I wanted. The jaw opens and closes, and they've included the cheek skin exposed when the mouth is open, along with a thoroughly convincing tongue. I can go ahead and nit pick: the angle of the impression of the ribs under the skin is a little bit off to my eye, but the angle they have chosen and some skin swags they've crafted work together in an aesthetically pleasing manner. They've gone for musclar arms and developed pectorals, which harmonize well with the rest of the body. Detail everywhere, while maintaining a consistent, well posed overall model. It stands without assistance. Only the lower jaw moves.

The model looks great, love the detail and paint job. It seems to be reasonably up to date with current knowledge of T rex's apart from the lack of primitive feathers (still being debated). A great display piece.Now for the downside, the delivery service is terrible. This was left in a box next to my bin in clear sight of anyone walking past on the path!!The delivery driver didn't knock, they just dumped my parcel and scarpered, then they marked this as being "handed to receptionist".This has been the delivery method for my parcels for a couple of weeks now, it's only a matter of time before something left there gets stolen.

Has a striking resemblance to the Tyrannosaurus made famous by Spielberg and Winston.However It is a little leaner in the body and its forelimbs are too large. The head design is however very JP!If you want a paleontologically accurate model rather than a toy, this ticks several boxes, but also misses others.Its paint job and moulding are better than most others, but the proportions are not right, the lack of lips is incorrect and it is too lean (so the science says anyway).Quality of the moulding is good as is the paint finish.The critical will notice the lower jaw is a slightly different colour to the head and body, the one on my model is anyway.All in all, it’s a great buy either as a toy or for display.

Wow! I bought this along with the standing model, they work really well together indeed. I do love this model slightly more due to it's exciting pose, it's fantastic paint job, and attention to detail with the sculpt. Every scale and vein is artistically worked into this piece, and it looks amazing from every angle, even down to the detail on the bottom of the feet. The teeth are great, they are irregular and realistic, as I imagine a real t-rex's teeth would be after chomping on a few triceratops! I would recommend this for all dinosaur fans, a must have model if you like t-rex!

I saw this and have always been fasicnated with dinosaurs. And Tyrannosaurus Rex has always been one of my favourite dinosaurs ever since watching Jurassic Park. I bought this and was not dissappointed. It is such a highly detailed model, more of a collectible rather than a toy. The paint job and the amount of detail on this figure is astonishing. The colour and shape is similar to the Jurassic Park T-Rex, whilst the jaws are similar to the V-Rex in King Kong. I highly recommend this T-rex to any dinosaur enthusiast as its well priced and looks maginificent on display. This is another amazing work from Papo.

Well for prise I wasn't expecting much but although it was only in a bag in a huge box I didn't like because potentially could be damaged it came intact, on time and very very very well done, I'm using it in a diorama eventually with 1998 godzilla and think it will go well
