Unforgiven 2007 - Memphis, TN - September 2007
Here are my predictions for Unforgiven 2007. It is shaping up to be and okay card, but not enought to make me purchase the PPV. Again, WWE drops the ball on what they could do. Granted they were hurt by the suspensions from the steroid ring, but they could add a gimmick match to get a higher buyrate. It is complete with anticipated match order and anticipated match rating.1. Cade & Murdoch (vs) London & Kendrick (World Tag Team Championships) -I believe this match will open the show to get the high flying team of London & Kendrick the opportunity to get the crowd going. I expect this to be a decent opener. I look for Cade and Murdoch to pick up the win after cheating. I anticipate this fued to contiune after this PPV. Winner: and still world tag team champions - Cade & Murdoch (7.5/10)2. CM Punk (vs) Elijah Burke (ECW World Title) - I do not agree with putting this match on the PPV. Let Punk relish in his win. If they wanted to get an ECW match on the card, put on Boogeyman/Big Daddy V.It is just rushed in way too much. These two could possibly get a great fued going, but they will not be given enough time here. I expect it to be a very short match. Look for this fued to continue for a while: Winner: and still ECW Champion - CM Punk (6.5/10)3. Candice Michelle (vs) Beth Phoenix (Women's World Title) - Ummm...who cares. Winner: and new Women's Champion - Beth Phoenix (4/10)4. Matt Hardy & MVP (vs) Duece & Domino (WWE Tag Team Title) - The outcome of this is a bit intriguing. I am really torn in this match. I don't see Hardy & MVP being champs for a while, but I don't see them losing just yet. I think the title will stay on them for a little while, while WWE keeps tabs on the heart of MVP. I anticipated MVP trying to cost the champs the title, but Hardy somehow finds a way to win the match for the team. It should be entertaining, but nothing too special. I am hoping to see a 2 out of 3 falls match or Ladder Match for the U.S. Title between Hardy and MVP. Winner: and still WWE Tag Team Champions - Matt Hardy & MVP (7.5/10)5. The Undertaker (vs) Mark Henry - We get another long awaited return of The Undertaker. Obviously the intro will be awesome. I don't think this match will be as bad as it looks on paper. These two put on and entertaining match at Mania 22. Of course, they don't have addition of the casket match. I think it will be okay. I think this will be the end of Henry in the WWE. I believe his contract is up real soon. I cannot wait till he is gone. Hopefully the match will be short enough to keep the crowd in it. Winner: The Undertaker (6.5/10)6. Triple H (vs) Carlito (No DQ for Carlito) - This is a very intriguing stipulation. I personally think that this match would have been good without the stipulation, but it does indeed add something to it. I am a strong supporter of Carlito. I just hope the WWE actually uses the stipulation to make it somewhat like a Street Fight instead of just run ins for Carlito. I anticipate the ref getting knocked out and Triple H using chairs and the sledgehammer. Should be a very good and very entertaining match. I expect Carlito to perform well here. If he does he could be pushed even closer to main event status. Probably will be the second best match of the night. Winner: Triple H (8.5/10)7. The Great Khali (vs) Rey Mysterio (vs) Batista (World Heavyweight Title/Triple Threat) - I think the addition of Batista was a smart move. I think the match will be okay. It will be interesting to see how Batista and Mysterio mix together in the ring. Should be somewhat entertaining. Look for a lot of near falls on Mysterio. I actually expect to see Mysterio get the pin on Batista. I think this will set up a Punjabi Prison Match between Khali and Batista at No Mercy and a title match between Mysterio and Finlay at No Mercy. Winner: and new World Heavyweight Champion - Rey Mysterio (8/10)8. John Cena (vs) Randy Orton (WWE Title) - Should be a very emotional match. The crowd will be in it from the get go. Cena will almost look like a heel in this match as he will be very intense. I expect him to go crazy and lose his mind in the match. I expect it to be paced very much like there Summerslam match. I again see the ref getting knocked out and both men cheating to win. I see both men bleeding as well. My prediction is that Cena will get Orton to tap through the FU, but will refuse to break the hold resulting in a the referee changing his decision and giving the match by DQ to Orton. I see these two going at in again at No Mercy will the stipulation will be the title can change hands on DQ. I see Orton losing that match by DQ and then the two of them again going at it again at Cyber Sunday in a viewer's choice match (Hell In A Cell, Street Fight, Cage Match). The match will be Hell In A Cell and Orton will win the match. But, as far as the Unforgiven match goes, it should be very entertaining and crowd pleasing, minus the final decision. Winner: Randy Orton by disqualification (8.5/10)So there you have it. Those are my predictions. If done right the PPV could actually be better than it looks. It will definately set up future fueds nicely.

Tonight The Undertaker returns and he will show no mercy.ECW Championship matchEligah Burke vs CM PunkI really liked this match. The both of them started out slow in the beginning. It really picked up towards the middle. It ended out of nowhere but this was still a good match.6.5/10WWE Tag Team championship matchMVP & Matt Hardy vs Duece & DominoThis was an okay match. It really felt like a match that would happen on smackdown but hey. Both MVP and Hardy trie to showoff to each other through out the match. The both of them made this match watchable and plus I like MVP so this was alright. 6/10Triple H vs CarlitoThis match was a no dq match only for Carlito witch made it interesting. This was done pretty nice. It wasn't like a street fight match at cyber Sunday but good. Carlito was hitting Triple H with a lot of trash cans and lids. I wished it would have been a little more hardcore but still good. 8/10WWE Women championship matchBeth Phenoix vs Candice MichelleBeth has been on raw only for a little while and she gets her shot at the gold. Again this was an okay match. It didn't really look like a squash match here. Candice showed off some moves while Beth dominates the match. Good match. 6/10Triple Threat matchWorld Heavyweight matchBatista vs Rey Misteio vs The Great KhaliKhali dominated most of the match. Batista did his usual things while Rey looked kind of helpless. You know it picked up towards the end witch was a nice ending. Even though the only part was good was the ending but it was still preety good. The crowd went crazy when Batista won. 8/10World Tag Team Championship matchPaul London and Brian Kendrick vs. Lance Cade and Trevor MurdochThe crowd for some reason was quiet. I thought it was preety average. London and Kendrick showed why they were the longest WWE tag team champions because the both of them were good. 7/10WWE championship matchJohn Cena vs Randy OrtonBoy was this horrible. I was really mad about this. It wasn't wrestling, it was more like "I'm going to get you Randy, I'm going to make you pay" thing. Horrible. 4/10Mark Henry vs The UndertakerThe Undertaker makes yet another cool entrance. It was really slow but it was okay since it was takers first match back. So it was cool. 7/10This ppv was okay but I was dis appointed with the WWE championship match.

Unforgiven
This DVD contains the full 2007 Unforgiven event, headlined by a grudge match between The Undertaker and Mark Henry, on a single disc. It has two bonus features: Undertaker's exit from Unforgiven and an incident from RAW between John Cena Sr. and Randy Orton.CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke -The opening contest was for CM Punk's ECW Championship. It was a good match with some good psychology. Burke targeted the lower back of Punk throughout the action to try and get the win and also to limit his offence. There were some good reversals as Punk tried to make his comeback and the finish made sense with the work they were doing on Punk's back. It wasn't Punk's best match at all but it was an entertaining, well paced opener.Matt Hardy and MVP vs. Deuce and Domino - This Tag Team match was for the WWE Tag Team Championship, held by MVP and Hardy. The story with this match was MVP and Hardy were rivals and tag partners, which led to them trying to one up each other here. Which benefited them early on but eventually cost them and allowed their opponents to take control. I enjoyed the story with MVP and Hardy and the match was decent with a good finish. It felt like it could have been a TV match but it was an entertaining watch anyway.Triple H vs. Carlito - In this match it was No Disqualification for Carlito only, Triple H had to stick to the rules. That was an interesting stipulation and I enjoyed the execution. It wasn't the greatest match but it was a fun one. Triple H dominated the in ring portions of the match but Carlito took full advantage of the rules to even things up and create a competitive match. It built well and I really liked the finish.Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix - This was for Michelle's WWE Women's Championship. This was a pretty enjoyable match. It had a simple story of Phoenix using her superior strength to dominate the action and Michelle desperately trying to fight back. Beth worked over Candice's back which she sold well. It lasted a good amount of time for the story they were telling and had a good, decisive finish. The Great Khali vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Batista - This Triple Threat match was for Khali's World Heavyweight Championship. Considering it was The Great Khali, this was a pretty good match. Batista and Mysterio tried to team up to take on Khali but Khali used his size and power to dominate them anyway and keep them separate so he could beat down Mysterio. They played to Khali's strengths and tried to minimise his weaknesses which lead to a fun contest with an exciting closing stretch. It was kept short but that was for the best really. This was the best I could have hoped for and I really enjoyed it.Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch vs. Brian Kendrick and Paul London - This one was for the World Tag Team Championship. It was a good, competitive tag team match. It was a good blend of styles with the high flying, fast paced London and Kendrick trying to use their speed against the more grounded style of Cade and Murdoch, who aimed to isolate an opponent and wear them down. Both teams worked really well together and kept the action entertaining. It built well to a good, decisive finish.John Cena vs. Randy Orton - This one was for Cena's WWE Championship. This feud had gotten very personal here and you could feel that in the action. There was no lock-up, just straight to fighting. The action here was very good and it was looking like it was going to become a clear match of the night. Unfortunately though we got an unsatisfying finish after less than ten minutes which hurt this. It was such a shame because it felt like a really exciting match was building throughout the action but it didn't lead to the match the action promised. The Undertaker vs. Mark Henry - This was the main event of the evening. It was an entertaining, if a bit of a predictable, main event. The Undertaker looked strong early on but Henry used his strength and size to take over control and work over The Undertaker's back. It lasted about the right amount of time for the match they were having, although I think one more near-fall would have helped it. It had a decisive finish and a feel-good moment to end the show on. Nothing memorable action-wise but I enjoyed it anyway. This was a fairly good event overall. There are no must-see matches on the show and not a lot you'll come away from the event remembering, however there is a good amount of entertaining action on the show and several enjoyable matches. It's worth a watch if you get the chance but you won't be missing anything important if you skip it.

good enough
September 2007 and unforgiven was given a real hype boast with the return of the undertaker after a four month hiatus, the event was actually alot better than anticipated and despite having the official theme tune played by alterbridge there wasnt too many negatives. The event opened well with the ECW championship, the holder cm punk went up against elijah burke in a fast paced aggressive enough match, like i said this was a good opener and cm punk put on a great performance although i feel he carried burke at times who for one reason or another wasnt quite at the races on this night.Next up was the tag team championship, the unlikely tag team champs were MVP and matt hardy and they went up against deuce and domino, this again was good, the tension between hardy and MVP was at times more interesting than the match but that being said some great moves were performed and the ending was grand with me.Onwards we go then with a no disqualification match with a difference, triple h (who could be disqualified) went up against carlito, who couldnt,so what we got here was a match where carlito could do what he wanted against a man who couldnt and it was entertaining, not as violent as it could have been but fun all the same, carlito hammed it up as the villain that likes to be cool and triple h had to take it with a smile at times but the ending was great and this was certainly one of the most entertaining matches of the night. The ladies title followed and was between the champ candice michelle and the lovely beth phoenix, beth was all over candice here in a match that was ok in truth,a very one sided affair with a safe ending in truth but this is a womans match i could watch again and its seldom that i say that hey.Next up was a triple threat match for the world heavyweight championship, the holder, the great khali went up against rey mysterio and batista in a match that was solid enough but neither man overly impressed and the finisher move that won it wasnt the best but we were treated to a match with both pace and rugged strength so the best of both worlds then. The world tag team championship match was up next and lance murdoch and trevor murdoch, the champs, went up against paul london and brian kendrick, this was a very good match, very good indeed, both teams impressed, different types of team here, but together they put on a good show,i cant fault this in truth. The next match certainly came with faults and was certainly used to fuel the war that lay ahead for both men, randy orton, the champ, against a very angry john cena who was coose that his dad was kicked in the loaf by orton, this match lasted 7 minutes and was savage enough with cena failing to hold it together and too much attention being given to cenas father, not great but they would head into many a fight after this that was a large improvement but that wouldnt be hard.Next up was a match that was hyped but not quite justified, the match between the undertaker and mark henry was ok here,a marked improvement on their judgement day 2007 match for sure,it was physical enough and there was some skill shown but henry isnt great to watch at times but taker helped him at times, the finisher was great and with that this feud kinda fizzled out and that was a wise choice, speaking of which obtaining this is also a wise choice,3.5 out of 5.

Good
This is a decent PPV, overall very good but the matches in my opinion could have been longer as the longest was a mere 11:52 but I would still suggest buying it.
